Start11 keeps breaking explorer

from Stardock Forums

I have the latest version of Start11 -> 2.56 and the latest windows version 25H2 26200.7019

But after updating it crashes every 5 minutes +/-. Randomly by clicking on any taskbar tiles.

Tried removing -> restart -> reinstall.
Searched for extra updates windows

how can i fix this? really irritating

I reinstalled windows an got the same issues. But I found the problem. I use "ChrisTitusTech" to disable a lot of windows features like Telemetry / consumer featurs etc. (https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/winutil?tab=readme-ov-file)

When i reset all settings to default the explorer crashing stoped. So now i'm going to disable feature by feature :)

Are you using ANY other 3rd party start menu \ taskbar apps?  If so, what ones?

Have you backed up, then reset, your Start11 settings and are able to reproduce the issue?

If you not, and as you change one setting at a time, what one reproduces the issue?

Not using any other apps.

I actually clean installed the 25H2 (26200.6584) September release and restored my backup start11 settings and the explorer hangs returned shortly after.

I can do some investigation changing one thing at a time but I really didn't change much from default, I also am not using the Start11 enhanced taskbar.
