Something curious is going on with my fences. 

I placed all my roll-down fences at the top of my laptop screen. When I connect another monitor to my laptop the fences always go to the bottom of the laptop screen. 

After reboot with the new screen connected the fences still stay at the bottom of the laptop screen. 

When i start the laptop without another screen the fences are back at the top of the laptop screen. 

I tried different settings such as "store my layout on per-monitor configuration basis" on/off, it didn't work. 

Anyone an idea how to fix this?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. This is known issue with Fences v5.81. Please download and install latest Fences v5.84 Beta which resolved this issue. Refer here: https://forums.stardock.com/529942

The problem seems to be fixed after updating to Fences5_5.8.2.5-j132.
