Why does such a dignified web site has such a "modest" forum?!

Why does such a dignified web site has such a "modest" forum?!

I'm sure this has come up in the past, and I'm sure some ideas were involved amongst yourselves... but why wasn't there anything done about it?!

The three links at the top of page, leading to the different forums, is all but self-explanatory. Shouldn't there be a forum-menu when click on "message board" (no 's', while there are more than one - to contribute to the self-explanatory issue)?! And what about an advanced search option? Shouldn't one of the biggest skinning web sites have a nice WYSIWYG editor for the forum messages, at least for us IE users?

These message boards could be a whole lot more active and rich with messages and visitors if they were presented and handled properly... with all due respect these forums look patched together just to fill a blank. So I ask again... why wasn't there anything done about it?

Ladies and gentlemen...after heart-wrenching deliberations, fact-finding missions, excessive and highly unnecessary requests for government grants to further research efforts, couple of rounds with presidential interns 'wink' 'wink', consultations with subordinate coordinators of judiciary and fiduciary matters involving the confidence of the utmost inappropriateness. I have come to the conclusion.....ditto

GreenPeace and the Fellowship of All Things Small (FATS) notice....in reenacting the aforementioned collaboration no small animals, big animals or cigars were killed, harmed, mamed or smoked.

besides why mess with what works ? over plumbing a house may be intended to ease the flow . but all it really does is just add more spots to get clogged up...

The messageboard is different from what you might find elsewhere, but after a while you get used to it. It's much better than it was before IMO and apparently new features are in the works.

The simplicity of these boards is great as many have said. But I do think there should be separate areas for DesktopX and Windowblinds (and possibly Objectdock if the interest was great enough). Just the two forums needed for each - Problems, and Developers.

With the new "Areas" dropdown at the top-left of the board windows this would be fairly easy to implement (from a user viewpoint) and not really damage the simplicity we currently enjoy.

PS sorry for the lack of clarity in my original message before the edit.

The WC Help messageboard is supposed to be for help with WC/SD applications, although a lot of people still post in the general chat messageboard (this board).

thats because we still answer the questions instead of directing them to the Help section

mmm, could be that is what we should do?

I agree, but that's a question...I'm afraid you must go to the Help board for assistance

...just looked outside..it's snowing again..........

It is a word - in another language In this case it's Dutch for 'ditto'. I'm sure Styl will be along shortly to confirm this as my Dutch is double...

Actually, it's a Latin loan word in both Dutch and English.
