Changed drive/desktop path but cannot retain Fences configuration

Hey all,

I recently added a drive to my PC and was hoping to change the Desktop location, but every time I move it, the icons don't retain their position (even after applying a snapshot from the previous configuration with the old drive). I found in this post from some time ago that the "icon locations are stored in absolute paths so when you manually moved them to another location, of course, Fences would not know where to put them." [https://forums.stardock.com/502564/page/1/#3793325]

Is it possible to change the Desktop directory that Fences reads via settings, or perhaps a different way to retain the configuration to change the location/path of the Desktop, or would I have "to re-setup [my] Fences manually" as the post suggests?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

End of quote

The effort to edit the registry settings would surpass the time and effort to do this manually I am afraid.
