now im normally not one to complain but. i cant figure the ranking of the screen shots. i have posted a few screen shots. i had uploaded this to screen shots and got a 7 https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=13&SkinID=3791 ..while this screen was an 8 https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=13&SkinID=3814 im not saying mine is any better than this one .. it just confuses me that even tho mine was posted first and has been customized, with extras . it got a lower rateing. i thought the voteing at time of upload was based on originality and look. as well as any extra modofications u could come up with...this one got a 6 https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=13&SkinID=3837 and i thought it was very clean and original. the modifications i have made to most of these desktops took time to do. yes i didnt make most of the original graphics ... but hand drafting new graphics like the mail and trash buttons on the sysmeter took a noob like me a lot of time .not to mention porting a skin from one app to another.....im not angry just confused

I guess in one word....'Integration'.

If all the 'parts' look like they were 'meant' for each other.....much in the fashion of a full suite as you see with screenshots of them by Pixtudio [for example], or as is mostly the case with alternate shells such as LiteSTEP or Hoverdesk, where all components are intentionally integrated.

Walls, for example only need to 'suit' the components....being 'trendy' or 'topical' is irrelevant to the 'rating'.

If it doesn't 'grab' me it'll be down around 5 or 6....if it's OK it'll be up around 7 or 8 and if it evokes a 'wow' then a 9 or 10....

Travis....try this winamp skin (second colour skin down)https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=10&SkinID=916 with your SS if you are going to put the sub zero WB and icons into it. Hopefully the outer pane will match the clock and calendar and the inner pane blue will match the sub zero blue. Not 100 percent sure but you might give it a whizz and see what it looks like

leo its a nice skin, but I prefer modern ones. I kind of like mmd3 with it. ps the icons, toolbar icons, animations, and logoff and shutdown dialogues have been added.

and hg, that image is humongous, its almost a megabyte. well thats not that big, but still its a little large

HGE.......OK its moving in the right direction but not sure about the Wall. If i was you i would be looking for a wall to match the green in WB or the Sysmeter. Its not easy but if you search in the right places you will find one. I remember it took me 3 hours once of wading thru' sites to find the wall i wanted. I like the Rainy....but would like to see you make it bigger.....show off that top bar on the Rainy and get it to look as much like treetogs/alex's top of the start menu as you dare. By making it bigger the year font will display better. Then pick out the fonts, size and thickness in the sysmeter and use them in the bigger Rainy. Some people can knock Rainys two a penny but i have just made one to match DanilloOC's elsdeegrey skin and it took me 5 hours before i was satisfied with it and i am still not 100 percent happy. Are you going to recolour some icons as well?

Travis.......It looks good from the small ss i have seen and hopefully Cha will give you permission but you may have to be patient. Still that will give you time to mess around with it a bit more and perfect it

hg have you thought about icons yet?

If you don't want to recolor anything the gt2 icons might look good:

look at the desktop i made while goofin around trying ideas for the other theme. its in my profile. is a litestep theme with matching rainy and sysmeter .. im gona work on the WB and icons tomorrow
