I was going to do them but then I saw they were word problems and I hate word problems but not as much as I hate graphing!

Hey, I had algebra I and II and geometry and calculus and all that stuff in high school, but that was back in the old days. I am not even sure what 9x8 is anymore. When you don't use it, which I haven't, you just forget it. I don't even know why I did all that except the teacher was drop-dead gorgeous and the coolest guy in high school was in the class. What a waste of time. I didn't learn a thing and didn't get either one of them.

Could barely pass it when I was in grade 8, certainly not now.

Always hated algebra! those X's and Y's always confused the heck out of me.

Yes, but I cheated and used "calc". Or was that allowed?

I was ok with math right up to grade 12. Then came algebra, calculus, data interpretation, discrete math (matrices, recursion, etc.), trigonometry, real numbers and the coordinate plane, functions, etc., etc......yawn.

Gee, I suppose I could scan some pages out of my book for you. *Jauntiness alert!!* Heh heh, I get to take the special math course this year in 8th...Honors Algebra? It's hard...

...Im doing Trig/Pre-Calc. (Needless to say, I got 'em all right)

Hmm 6 out of 10. I would have had better results if I actually worked it out by pencil and paper or calc not purely by brain.

Yes, I'm currently taking a college math class.

Well i found this test rather childish, got a 10 with ease. But then again there's been less than a year that i graduated from school,so it does make sence.Alhtough my future plans is to study history and greek literature,i also like maths and geometry. So i took some time and studied Maths up to GCE Level(dunno what Grade it is),which i passed with grade A.

Well, I spent all my life studying math (i'm an actuary, for those who know what it is ). Guess it was easy for me...

I misread question 1 and screwed that up. Don't remember angle calculations at all so that was the other one.

This doesn't bode well for my grade 8 daughter who asks me for math help regularly.

6 out of 10 (not bad for a high school dropout that has been out of school for 12 years and works as a packager putting paper in a box for a living making $9.50 an hour). Then you get ignorants like Citizen Cyberworld that think they are better than everyone else. As long as it makes them feel special I guess

Ofcourse the test is childish, it's grade 8.

When I was in 8th grade, I took Alegegra & Pre-Alegebra. Finally, took Basic Math. Math sucks! I hate math. It's boring. I'm glad I learned how to multipy, divide, etc. I thought Alegebra & Pre-A is for nerds. No offense. We used calculators in high school. Everything changed since I graduated.

Heyyyy...I'm in 8th. Top o' the middle school. Chickie, you're right. I'm a nerd, and I'm taking Algebra this year. Bow down to the geek!

I actually liked math. Calculus was great! But then came advanced calc... I totally did not get it.

Never found out why.

But at least I am not evil!

16 years out of school, and I don't remember who goes where, but as a manager I used Alg. II on a daily basis. Took me 4 years to realize that I did indeed use it on a daily basis! O_o

I got 10 out of 10. I thought it was going to be full of algebra and stuff, but those questions were just easy.

I didn't understand eigth grade math when I was in the eigth grade, and that was a while back, so now I don't even understand the questions! Thank goodness for the handheld calculator or I would seriously be up the creek

I excelled in basic math, but when it came to algebra, trig, etc. I barely passed. Main reason was that I figured that if I ever bought anything I was not going to have to figure out the sine of an angle to find out if the price was right or not!

I use Sine and CoSine every day at the super market.

missed zero

Not quite as pathetically easy as the senior math exam at my school in '99, but I'm quite surprised that anyone could fail this test.

Adv. Calc was a true pain though, I hope Calc III isn't as bad.

This maths test was way too easy. I don't know what age your 8th grade is but I suspect they are quite young.

Gimme some partial fractions to do, that'll test my memory...never could get those right
