I've downloaded the large version yesterday. Played full screen, it's totally awsome!
Boy I can't wait!!!!

Last time I went to the movies was around christmas last year, to see The Two Towers.

BTW, they are planning a bunch of LOTR marathon presentations in a bunch of cities, anybody planning on going to one and see all 3 movies back to back?

Yup, I'm interested in seeing all 3, right bang after each other

But that just means I'll watch two on my home projector and the third in the theater

There are all kinds of hidden scenes in that trailer. For an example: In the beginning of the trailer, you'll see the ring briefly. Pause the trailer. Then rewind it a few seconds and repeatedly play and pause the trailer in between and you'll see a new scene for a fraction of a second. You'll see Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli (and the two horses). It looks like the Paths of the Death. I am not sure, but it looks like there are some ghouls in that scene too.

Kona: I don't know. Here is the official press release:

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy to be shown in theaters this December
Date:
August 22nd, 2003

Leading up to the December 17 release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, the final film in Peter Jackson's epic dramatic trilogy, New Line Cinema will release a limited number of 35mm prints of the Special Extended Editions of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers in theaters across North America. The special screening series will culminate in an unprecedented marathon of back-to-back presentations of the Extended Editions followed by a special screening of The Return of the King. The announcement was made today by Rolf Mittweg, the studio's president and chief operating officer, worldwide distribution and marketing.

From December 5 - 11, the studio will release 100-150 35mm prints of the Special Extended Edition of The Fellowship of the Ring in cities across the country. On December 12 - 15, these prints will be replaced with Special Extended Edition prints of The Two Towers. On Monday, December 8, and Monday, December 15, both films will be presented back-to-back. Then, on Tuesday, December 16, participating theaters will show a one-time-only marathon of both Extended Edition prints followed by an 11pm screening of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The official opening of the film will commence at 12:01 AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2003.

Advance ticketing for the screening series is expected to commence this fall.

Oops... Sorry. When Legolas says "The Eye of the Enemy is moving", the Ring appears. Immediately there after, you'll see the scene I am talking about.

Yes, MadIce, there is also an image of Gandalf right after.

That's interesting. LordOfTheRings.net has released their frame by frame insights too.

BTW: They "missed" the part I described earlier. TheOneRing.net did include it.

These movies are just awesome! Just watched The Two Towers again last night. I didn't dare look at the link...Don't want to see any spoilers.

First time I have ever sat through a 3 hour movie and did not want it to end...both of them

I look forward to watching a 9 hour marathon

This one looks *so* good.  I'm avoiding the trailers.  Even though I've read the books, the movies are different.

Can't wait for the next Matrix, either.  (Not as much as LOTR, though)

Ohhh! Sorry guys. That TheOneRing.net site isn't loved much by Ad-aware. It reports a "Tracking Cookie Object".

A tracking cookie doesn't mean anything that bad really. I get some on a daily basis and the only sites I go to generally on a daily basis are hotmail and yahoo run sites from their main page.
