Search programs and files not showing a list of appropriate programs/files

I just installed Start10 into my desktop PC, when I click on the Windows key then enter a file name or partial name of a file in "Search programs and files", a list of files w/ the name or partial name I entered does not appear.  I use Start10 on 2 other computers without a problem.  When I was looking for a thread w/ this topic, I saw the phrase "jump list".  Is the jump list the list of files that comes up in response to typing in the name/partial name of what I'm looking for?  Thanks.

Thanks for your prompt response.

Windows 10. 

Start10 version: I just purchased it last week so I assume the most up to date version, can't find a version number.

Start10 doesn't have an "about" link, it only has a "properties" link, none of the tabs in the properties link gives any info re version.  I went online and am able to download v1.94 so perhaps that's my version.

Click on the Start button then right-click on a greyed area Configure Start 10
