Wet/Dry rechargeable shaver. I shave my face with it wet.

a blade and hot water... I switched to an Atra about ten years ago because I couldn't find single-edge blades anywhere except hardware stores.

I won't buy Gillette anymore because of their pushing the RFID retail systems so I buy generic refills.

RFID - it's a new technology that is being pushed as a boon to manufacturing, distribution and marketing. But it has a dark side. The technology is a tiny chip that's included in products, including clothing. The desire is to have it in everything. It has a unique serial number which can be tracked from the manufacturer, through the retail process to eventually being identified with the purchaser.

The privacy fear is both the irritation of targeted marketing (like in Minority Report when Tom Cruise walks by stores in a mall they call out ads to him that are targeted to his previous purchase history) and the more ominous aspect of the DOD's TIA database and remote tracking and surveilance of innocent citizens. An Orwelian police-state infrastructure that could be abused even with good intentions but potentially could turn into an electronic Gestapo with unimaginable reach.

Okay this is something that I read and probably doesn't apply to everyone..........

When you switch from regular razor to an electric razor....you have to allow your facial hair used to being shaved by an electrical. Sounds weird?.....maybe.....is it true?......yup. If you continue to shave and stuff, your facial hair will adjust

Mach 3 and PINAUD (Clubman - Shaving Soap - Brush in a cup ) with PINAUD "Clubman - After Shave" on the face after and some PINAUD "Clubman - Talc powder for my neck and upper chest.

Wife loves it, my face doesn't grow things after shaving and other women notice the PINAUD and comment on it ( wife hates that part or laughs depending on what the commenter happens to look like )

I've been using a straight razor for the last year and a half. I get a much better shave and I don't have to buy those cartridges anymore.

I'm not going to hold a knife to my throat. Instead I let the machine hold a dozen small knives to it.

I hate shaving, so I do it once every two weeks, whilst cursing, kicking and screaming.

Think I'll be growing a looong beard when I get older.

True.  We also have a whole lot more surface area to shave (legs).

I read an article on shaving awhile ago.  It seems to work, as I have very sensitive skin and have a tendency to get razor burn.  So, this is what it suggested: wash area to be shaved with as hot of water as you can stand, apply shaving cream or shaving soap, shave with a very sharp razor (just needs to be sharp, no particular type) then apply an astringent or after shave lotion.  The heat opens pores, the shaving cream/soap raises the hair, sharp razors irritate less than dull (obviously), and then the astringent/aftershave closes the pores back up to reduce any infection.

There.....that's all I know about shaving...well, not really *all* I know, but all that I'm willing to discuss

Karma, what you just said there is basically the ABC of shaving. Any man knows that. Hehehe!
But note that you can also use ice cold water to close the pores of your skin instead of an aftershave. Works just as well.

I guess I'm young too, because I use a Remington every other day. lol.

But for some reason, I like it better when a lady talks about shaving her legs. Tell me more, Karmagirl. hehehe.
