Fences often 'focuses' on not only what I click on--but adjacent or recent icons and RENAMES them

Fences focus file rename problem with multiple files at once.

I love Fences EXCEPT that often it results in the focus being shared by more than the file I want to rename.

I have many times had a file or folder renamed when I tried to rename a different file or folder.  They both have the same name then!

I've had this happen hundreds of times and get so exasperated that I disable Fences.  Then I check for Fences updates and try again.

I carefully click on an empty part of the desktop before renaming my target file or folder and yet still keep finding instances of this.

I right click and "Undo Rename" a couple times and can figure out what happened but it is a major pain.

It is a dangerous big bug.  Happens all the time.  Eager to hear when this is fixed.

I'm on a Win7 64bit HP, 8gb RAM.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know what Fences version you have installed and still seeing this issue?

Thanks

Version 3.0.9.11  current version.  Problem not resolved.

Problem has persisted for years through one or more updates.  I first documented this bug years ago as a private message.

And I can't recreate the issue on my Windows 7 VM System. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Thank you,
