sdRohan, since odcviper2 owns Object Desktop, shouldn't Cursor FX4 be included in that software, if the subscription is active which it sounds to be ?

Just wondering since I never bought Cursor FX in the past, but under "View Individual Downloads" on my account, it shows there and it is also showing in my Object Desktop manager.

Hi,

My subscriptions to Wincustomize and Stardock still have 200+ days remaining; I have Object Desktop, and my CursorFX 4 download responded that activation was successful with that product key, yet Settings are not modifiable for me.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try uninstall CursorFX v4, run the purge for those old version using this steps : https://forums.stardock.com/485856/cursorfx-support-faq#reinstalling

reboot after the purge, it is best to re-download CursorFX v4 from your account. reinstall using that. Reboot again, retest and report back.

Thanks basj, the purge and reinstall worked, although I still have trouble with some sliders, but the one I really care about (size B)  ) is satisfactory. Opportunities to learn...another reason to love OD!

EDIT: re: trouble with sliders...the problem turned out to be a hardware issue with the mouse, solved with replacement. Left button died.

I was happy see cursorfx had update, sad to see it was full price update, but with lately some updates of stardocks cause more issues then fixes for me ( looking at you windowblinds ) while some are fixed I hasitated to update the software.

So clean installed cursorfx 4 and blasted off the trail and already bumped in my first issue.

I'm not allowed to delete ALL of the unwanted curors dilivered with the software at least older version allowed you to remove them all. and then I stumbled upon a other issues, the desired cursor I use for years now is not working correctly, animation is looped constantly and faster then it did in 2.16

So already annoyed by not having discount found 2 issue with in 2 minuts for me. I quickly uninstalled it and went back to 2.16 as this one I got license for that and 0 issues ever found with it.

if my 2 issues where maybe not present I might have considered buying new version full price just to support development of a product I use everyday. but in my experiance new version is worse then old one.

and why does version jumps from 2.16 to 4? you scared of the number 3 like Valve?

You can manually delete any from the themes directory:

\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes
