Themes are stored in:
\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes\

CursorFX wont change from the current theme
Problem
No matter what package is selected and applied, the CursorFX theme will not change.
Solution
Copy, then paste, the following into the Windows Explorer address bar:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Stardock\CursorFX
Example:

Delete whatever is in the directory.
Open CursorFX and see that the CursorFX theme can be changed.

Problem
CursorFX is crashing when opening the UI or applying a theme.
Solution
Most problems with CursorFX can be attributed to a bad theme. Try removing or moving the themes from the following location:
7\8\10\11:
\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes
and delete CurrentTheme.CursorFX from:
\Users\YourWindowsAccuntName\AppData\Local\Stardock\CursorFX

Save the file to your downloads folder.
Purging the application
Double-click the downloaded purge file and select "Run as Administrator" if you're on Windows 7/8/8.1/10.


If you are running Windows 8/10/11, you may be notified that Windows is protecting your PC. Select "More info" and then "Run anyway".
Reboot the computer and reinstall the application. It is important to get the most recent version of the application.

For Steam Purchases
Even after using the purge file, you still need to use the 'uninstall' option in the Steam client:

After, re-Install from Steam and Steam only.
Please DO NOT change any of the default settings until you verify that the application is running as expected in its default state.
