Surley, It's a copycat killer tryin' to make believe he/she is someone special.

For one the Zodiac killer is still alive...................in jail of course. I live about 5 minutes east of SF...........not really scared about it since he is in a high security prison. I think he's married!!! Yikes, I hope his "wife" know's who he is.

Green Armani what are you talking about? He was never captured. Catch up on your history dude. You should have seen Primetime on ABC Thursday Night, they had whole hour devoted to the Zodiac Killer.

I saw this special a few months ago and found it repulsively sensationalistic, particularly knowing a lot about the Zodiac case. My favorite part was that they had the print from the envelope and they couldn't come up with a match so they literally said, "so none of these people could have been the Zodiac," and the kid who thought his father may have been it was all relieved. Idiots! Just because you have a print doesn't mean it belonged to the Zodiac! Let's see, it could belong to any of the many mailpeople that handled the letter, the people that handled the letter once it was received, etc. etc. In fact, I'd say the chances of it belonging to the Zodiac are incredibly small considering all the other people that handled the letter and yet they somehow treated it like it was conclusive proof! It was one of the most unprofessional, illogical pieces of journalism I've ever seen.

I don't have to worry about the serial killer. I live in lonely PA.. We have a problem with hicks.

it wasn't a fingerprint, Astro, it was DNA (genetic fingerprint) from the envelopes (stamps, envelope flaps} where people often lick to afiix/seal.

What doez this do? It only servez to further feed their frenzied rush for more devastation and destruction of innocent or not-so-innocent human beings (ie not-so-innocent human-beings being prostitutes who probably grew up abused by some scumbag dad or foster parents or worse and ran away to a horrible life on the streets because they had nobody to go to for help). Do we reward these MF's who are worthless scumz of society? We sure do! We seem to show more than the average "10 minutes of fame" for our 'beloved' serial killers/rapists/pedophiles and it's a sad, sick societal punch in the eye to folks with actual decency. Nope we don't stomach glorified INFAMY too well > And where are the victims in all this? Shoved into the sidelines...another body...another 'chalk outline'...but these people are REAL...they are flesh and blood and human form and thoughts and with families who will (hopefully if they had decent ones) miss them and mourn them.

There is a fine line...a VERY fine line these daze between REEL *INFORMATIVE* NEWZ and salacious sleaze on a convenient byte-sized stick.
