Install not going through , oninstall error line 141

start 10 install bug

from Stardock Forums

Start 10 upgrade didn't go through since it aborted due to png files deletion problem, then I uninstalled with great difficulties as uninstall process couldn't cleaun up png files again, now fresh install is not going through as well .

please look into this matter immediately and let me know how to go about it installing it.

Hello,

Please try uninstall previous version and do the purge and reinstall steps mention here : https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#reinstalling

Re-download the latest version again from your account. There was a newer fixed version posted few hours ago (refer to this : https://forums.stardock.com/497834/get;3765673 )

Also make sure to reboot after the purge, reinstall, recommended to install in default directory, reboot again after the installation finish. Report back here.

FYI...

It did let me install version "1.61" and it seems to be working fine.

I did try to update to "1.75" and "1.80", but I was still getting error messages and it would not upgrade..

Stardock, No Luck with your steps , Not sure how long this will take you fix this problem, so please let me know the link to download older version.
