Any OD users having problems with older DX themes running on the latest Version of DX?

I have a Universe Metal theme from early last year that is acting weird. Some of the graphics don't line up and I can't seem to move them and the media player skin parts show up as black. And system meter graphics are messed up too.

I know... I have deleted some of them already to try to update at the weekend. Graphics with old plugins applied don't show at all.
And it will be extremely difficult, as DX quits here all the time...

I uninstalled OD because it's been piddling off my computer like crazy with DX >

It would crash my system too

I hate to say this but DesktopX 2 won't have 100% compatibility with DX 1 themes.  It'll be 95% but not 100%.  We're going to have a "Made for DesktopX 2" button that shows up on themes that have been tested for DX 2 compatibility.

Frogboy, That sucks.

Back to the drawing board for old DX themes for me.

Listing the known plug-ins and components that don't work or cause problems would help skinners update their themes before the final release.

Hmm, I smell a lot of work for dx-themers with older themes...
If DX would lock out the plugin only, it would be okay for me, but the graphics also ?
Is there any chance that this will be changed, to reduce some work for theme-updates ?

I have already updated one of mine to conform with new standards set by DX2 and it was not all that much work. It essentially involved replacing any reference to DXToys with a similar DX supplied plugin.

c242: The problem is that the way a lot of those worked the plugin info contained the details about what bitmap was used etc. (DXToys springs to mind) It just passed the images through to DX to show them AFAIK. So DX can't do anything but block the plugin and images too.
