Instant messengers

How many people actually use ICQ anymore? And how many who do use ICQ, how many use ICQplus to skin it still?

I'm trying to clean out my skins list. I'm only leaving the stuff for apps people actually use now, and only the skins I plan to update sometime in the future. So I'd like to know what apps people are actually using now.

I use MSN messenger.... I found ICQ a pain to learn, same with trillian....I like it simple, don't need multitudes of features, just  like to be able to talk to people quickly and simply. I think everyone should use messenger. (not because I use it......honest!)

You know... way back a million internet years ago ICQ was actually a pretty straight forward easy to use communication tool...... then....

It's not so much about which softeware you use, but more what do your friends use. Almost everybody (99%) I know is on ICQ. So switching to MSN would be kinda stupid of me. That's why I use Trillian, I can talk to all my ICQ friends and the one or two MSN friends I have as well.

Trillian for AIM, and MSN messenger for (What else?) MSN... I havent quite made the full transition to Trillian yet.

ICQ was the first IM really, and so everyone I knew was on it and I used it dedicatedly. ICQ lost its way though. It became hugely bloated and more difficult to use for simple tasks. So I switched mainly to MSN. Although I lost the ability to skin really, it wasn't that big a deal. I still use ICQ once in a great while via Trillian, but never the real program, which I don't even have anymore.
