Crusade: Espionage by trade

Sadly you can still spy on your adversaries by trading with them: you still can see every ship and starbase and planet they own, complete with stats. Now that espionage is part of the game you shouldn't be able to see that unless you are allied or the AI does really want to trade those assets (but then show only those that they are willing to trade, not everything).

Agree, that gamey trick now undermines the new espionage feature

All those things shouldn't be visible for you to demand to begin with. It should only available as an offer.

You should be able to demand x ships or specific planets, star base you are aware of by revealing in fow.  You also should be able to demand x number of resources, if they have it then the AI can make the choice to trade with you if not will then the AI may counter or reject offer.

Agreed. I hate any form of free info on other players. Okay, technically espionage by trade requires universal translator and initially finding other civilizations, but that's not taxing on your time and resources unless they're out of your range. I also know that the graphs are another form of free espionage. Also, I believe the new report and stats screens in the govern screen could also be another form of free espionage (I'm not sure though as I haven't had a good look at them as I don't have a computer that can play games right now).
