Win 8.1 64 Pro

Can't drag and drop an icon to a Fence that is rolled up. Holding the folder the fence won't drop down, releasing

the folder and using the cursor made the fence down. 3 fences roll up to the top of the screen.

Edit: Just install 3.03 and it works fine.

My folder views are now persisting properly with the Win 10 Creator's Update.

One odd thing is that the list view is no longer as condensed as it used to be.  It used to pack the items in tighter.  It used to have less vertical spacing between items.   It also used to pick a column width based on the width of the widest item (which was annoying with wide items but helpful when you only had narrow items).  I usually pick List View because I want to see as many items as possible in a smaller space (while having real estate to read the filenames).

I've reproduced this in Win10 and passed the bug on to the dev team.  Thanks.

What is your View setting for the fence that is odd?  You should notice more options.

I noticed some additional options - Details (Large) and List (Large) - that I don't remember being there before.  I use the regular List option.  It's not massively bigger than it used to be.

Compare a Fence in List view (LEFT) and Windows Explorer in List View (RIGHT).  Fences used to just as compact as Windows Explorer.  It might just be bigger icons in Fences than it used to have before.

I just found the feature of clicking in the fence, holding CTRL, and using the scroll wheel.  That shrunk the icons and made it look like how I was used to.  I'm good.

Quick Hide isn't working on reboot. I have to manually hide icons every time I reboot.

Why do I not have any view options for choosing icon, list, detail, etc.?  All I have is roll-up, exclude from quick hide and opacity options.

OK, I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and still quick hide isn't working automatically on reboot.

Uninstalled with iObit uninstaller, cleaned registry, rebooted, reinstalled. Still no joy. And my fences were remembered, which shouldn't be the case after a registry clean.

Reverted to the 3.03 release version, and still the problem exists. I am assuming the problem is with the Creators Update?

You can double click on the particular Fence's Title Bar that you are trying to drop an icon in; that will hold it open until you are done; then just double click on the Fence [title bar] again.

This issue persists. When I delete an icon from the desktop, usually another icon, or two - already in a Fence - will pop out of place and have to be returned manually to its Fence. I installed a clean, updated, Windows 10 64-bit [Creators Update] and used this new Beta-version of Fences.

The configurations files were probably still sitting the the user directory - wherever that "Snapshot" routine is pointed.

I noticed the list view option now shows a more vertically and horizontally spaced list, that should supposedly be easier to read, but consumes much more of the precious screen real estate. Could you please revert to the previous, more compact layout? Or at least maintain the previous option? It is nice that you are constantly adding new features but it is not so nice when old and loved ones are removed. Thank you.

No one seems to have noticed my question:

Why do I not have any view options for choosing icon, list, detail, etc.?  All I have is roll-up, exclude from quick hide and opacity options.

Nobody uses Object Manager any more. Too many problems with downloads. Try downloading from your account.

Using CTRL plus the scroll wheel to change icon size has been implemented in Windows since Win ME.

Can you verify that the "Always show icons at startup" is NOT enabled?

Normal desktop fences do not have options for view styles.  Those are only supported for portal/folder fences.

Are you not seeing the options on folder/portal fences?
