Transparency with Windows 7 style?

Is it possible to have transparency in Windows 7 style?

Hi, people,

Maybe I am stupid and didn't find this option, in that case please tell me where to look, but when I set my Start Menu to be Windows 7 style, it has no transparency, like in original Windows 10 menu or taskbar, for example. It has the solid color, which, even if not so distracting, I would like to change to transparency. So - is it possible, or not? If yes, please tell me where to set it, if not, please consider this feature for the next versions. Thanks!

Have you ticked the box below the theme choice which says "Disable menu translucency"?

By default the menu should have a blurred semi transparent background in the right hand side.

Beta 1.01 also adds additional  control over the transparency level from the colour dropdown.  Downloadable from the store

Hmm, Start10 1.01 is nowhere to be found for download, at least not in My Account->My Downloads, but anyway, I have found the option to enable transparency. It is in "Which theme do you want to use" if I choose "Shadow" - it enables transparency, but it is very odd choice of putting this option there. As first you choose Window 7 theme, which should have transparency by default, but in fact it has not. Non intuitive, really.

The Shadow theme is always transparent and has no blur, but the Windows 7 theme defaults to a low level of transparency.  As it also uses blur it is not immediately obvious, but it is transparent.  1.01 offers you control over the level of transparency.

Ok, then the question is when 10.01 will be available for all consumers? :)

P.S. Also would be nice to have WindowBlinds version for Win10 with semi-transparent blurred windows as was in Windows 7's aero theme, as right now the native Windows 10 GUI is fugly :(

Well, I have purchased even 3 licenses (and most probably will buy 4th for my father's PC soon), but the file available py pushing "Download" button is still for versio 1.00, it even says so! The same if to check the new version availability from Start10 itself, it says the version is current!

End of serega_m's quote

It will not show when you use the check update button as it is a beta release, but it should be on the store page. ( https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products )

That's the Store page you login to NOT the main website which will still show 1.0 as again it is a beta release.

Well, either I am an idiot, or your system doesn't work, as I told you once again that I am going to your link and by pushing "Download" button it serves me version 1.0, which I already have :)

Ok, now it seems you have fixed the availability of 1.01 beta, and I have downloaded it and installed, and indeed there is a new transparency option, but for me it DOES NOTHING! Even at 62% transparency (minimum) there is NO TRANSPARENCY, just a SOLID COLOR! Please check screenshots:

Ahh I see the confusion now.  The transparency option only applies to the Default Theme, Default Theme with Black Edges and Modern theme options.  The others are custom themes which do not support transparency control at this time.

Ahh, I see, Default Theme is ok then and looks good with blurred transparency! I can live with thatm but do you plan to add this blur transparency to Windows 7 inspired theme as well or not? :)
