Gift Certificates....

Is it possible to buy a subscription for a third party? I have a friend who's very interested in graphics, and I thought a subscription would make an excellent gift for her. I could always just give her the cash, but that seems a bit impersonal (besides, she'd spend it on food or kids)...

What are the thoughts on this?

Have you tried on IRC to see if anyone is there who could answer this for you?

Don't use IRC. I figured that since this site IS stardocks largest marketing outlet, someone here would take the time to answer (and possibly make stardock more $$)....

Screw it...I'll give her the cash....

Thanks for the reply IPlural

I hate gift certificates. Forces me to either "buy" something I have no need for, or just let if run past the expiration date. Still have a number of 'em floating around, gathering dust. People should just give cash.

As for the correct placement of this question, you really should have send this to something like sales@stardock.com

Peff: I suspect that the majority of stardock have their hands busy trying to get Galciv completed. Also if you are using the skinbrowser then all you need to do is click on chat and connect and you will be in the wincustomize channel. Then just type /join #stardock and you'll be magically transported to the stardock channel where you can ask questions to your hearts content and will probably get an answer (even if it's just 'Sorry. No one here at this time of day come back in 5 hours' or something). Feel free to pop in, we don't bite (honest).

well, actually if you purchase it at the stardock store and put Her email address in the purchasers information and create a member account for her under her nick...

all is done...

if your looking at a discount, then you have to ask someone at stardock, you might even try the sales@stardock.com

I bet they are ready with an answer

luck...

oh and maybe the faq, or even on the purchase page if you click "more info" ???

Peff...Stardock is one of those strange entities that has 'weekends'. My guess is that you'll have to wait till business hours US-time for a specific answer...or if anyone pops in here on the off-chance...
