making a new text file. renames icons inside fences

i have the most up to dat fences. this is what happens. ill click on an icon inside a fence doesnt matter which one. i can be random ive tested it. also its annoying becuase it will also work on whichever program you last opened as well im renaming my steam icon 4-5 times a day. what happens is. click on an icon inside a fence.. right click desktop click new text document.. type in a name for that new text document and then not only will that text document be names whatever you typed in but you will ALSO rename whichever icon you last clicked in a fence. ive noticed it works on programs all the time it doesnt happen with folders and it only happens when i try to create a new text document. a fix for this would be great.  also note that you go from left clicking  an icon straight into right click then new text document. i know you can left click the desktop to clear a selection right clicking should also clear your selection but fences doesnt recognize it so when you right click with a program still selected and make a new text document you rename other icons
