Re...'xxxx' by xxxxxxxxx.

You might like to desist from personal and/or childish remarks such as 'you can suck on mine'.

That wall was accepted for upload because it was 'quirky'.
There are way too many people out there who think that because they have the patience to wait for Bryce or any other app to create a scene FOR them that they are therefore God's gift to art.
This is mostly not true. Most 'Bryce Artists' are button-pushers without a creative bone in their body....preoccupied with making 'real scenes' that a camera usually does quite a bit better.

The 'clever' thing about 'some' of these walls/scenes is that they CANNOT be duplicated in real-life. THAT is where the interest lies.

Now, change your attitude in future comments posted on Wincustomize.com or expect to have your access entitlement revoked.

Participants on this site do not enjoy personal attack or immature behaviour.

No second chances here.
Your move.

Cheers,
Paul

Jam, if Bryce * artists * have absolutly no creativeness at all. Then isn't the application of the descriptive * artist * misplaced?

Bryce is a tool, as are all things used to express vision.

I mean, hell, that would pretty much dicate that Computer based Artists do not have creative ability I would think. Which is also not true...

anyway...

I think too much

I was being extremely sarcastic there, IPlural...
I am a Bryce artist and I take extreme offense at anyone putting down Bryce artists.
Sure a lot of it is crap, but a lot of art made in any medium is crap.
To say that Bryce as an art medium is not a 'real' art medium is pure crap and I'm sick and
tired of being put down because of the tool that I choose to use.

It takes exceptional skill to produce something from Bryce that does not look like it was done in Bryce... Many try many fail. If your uploads are accepted ... that is indeed a great compliment!

I agree §tatic. Thats why so many get rejected. They don't possess that exceptional skill. Thats why all the crying.

and I agree with you also §tatic, it is most definitely a great compliment, but then I have to constantly
listen to people I respect talking about what crap Bryce is....

Why accept my artwork and then tell me "you should use some other program to make your artwork because
Bryce is crap.."
What the freak is up with that?

As §tatic said, very few posses the skill to make Bryce not look like Bryce, but a piece of art. There are a ton of bryce user's but only a few of their work get's on. Even the best of them get rejected. What they are saying is that most of the bryce user's need to leave bryce alone because they don't have that special skill needed and most likely won't ever have it. That or upload to another site which lets any and everything in.

Jam, I thought as much ans was speaking in the third person removed twice over and sitting next to a fifth cousin who married the first one and ahhhh...

I know what you mean / meant really.

My son wanted to be a Pro Skater and my family all said well it's not like they are athletes or anything and you can't make a living with it for any length of time.

sheesh... no not all skaters are pro material, and not all that are go on to be pro's, but damn them why did they always have to question his abilities and dreams? the things that for him were and are part of what makes him who he i and wishes to be?

anyway...

JM....my posted email was to convince 'someone' that his comments on a wall were uncalled-for and bickering about what was 'good' or 'bad' in Bryce creativity was quite possibly well beyond him anyway.
It wasn't a blanket slight on Bryce in general, but rather in the push-click-gee-wizz-new -to-Bryce-and-ain't-this-good-brigade...of which there are so very many...definitely outnumbering the 'talented' users, but who seem to believe that Bryce makes them 'masters'of all they create....
Fortunately for all of us, there ARE talented, creative people using Bryce....their work tends to get accepted...

OT but relevant.
In my other life as a retailer of exotic and expensive model cars I get a goodly number of people wanting to buy the very exotic and very complex ones.
Call me stupid (not all at once thank you) but I always ask what sort of experience they have had, and generally it is with plastics from the large Japanese 'shake 'n bake' brand, as in open box, throw in paint and glue, shake box and voilà! Instant model!
All they really learn is model 'assembly' not 'model building' ..... well, I think that is exactly the point re Bryce.
Easy to knock something that looks "OK" to the average person but no soul.
On the other hand, good Bryce art is very good, Mobious Co(?) and I recall a couple by Dangeruss (I think) that I still have and use from time to time, great work.
But 'pure' Bryce is not great, it's just formula assembly.
Well .... I know what I mean.
CRAFT strikes again!
