Disabling Window Frames "Graphic"

Hi I just recently downloaded WindowBlinds and everything is perfect except for one issue; I cannot seem to find a way to edit the graphic that's on top of my Windows Frame. Here's an example:

Win8 Metro Window Frame

The white streaks and squares on top, is there a way to just disable them completely? Also, is there a way to change the black color? My OS is Windows 8.1 & I am using the Win8 Metro Theme.

Thanks in advance!

It appears to be a margin painting issue which would require skin studio to fix. Changing color would also require skin studio. BUT, I'm still using WB7 so what do I know?

Thanks for a response but the theme I was using was not edited except for the start button changed to "Echo" theme and the per pixel buttons are using the "Corporate" theme. So it came with the default "Win8 Metro" Theme.

Whenever I try to edit the Titlebar painting color, it just changes the color of the Titlebar & Taskbar. Can't edit the graphic out or anything.

You need to go into SkinStudio and open the WB. If you don't have SkinStudio then you can forget all of the below.

Open Edit Titlebars and window frames, click on Edit per pixel frames. Click on Caption. You will see "Layer" click on the arrow. Where it says additional layer 1 and additional layer 2 For each one of those go to the bottom where it says code editor and click on it. Highlight the code and hit delete. Do the for both those layers but make sure you don't do it for the original layer (Base Layer). Do the same thing in the Maximum Caption also.

REMEMBER: You can only do this for yourself. You can't give it away, upload or anything. Changes would be for your own personal use.

Greg, it's exactly the same for win 7. Really there isn't much different with anything in SS from 7 to 8

Thank you so much it worked! My only issue is that in Firefox it still shows the original graphic on top. Any other program doesn't show it (Which I want). What could be causing this?

You are quite welcome that's why we are here to help if we can.

Not totally sure about the Firefox situation. Try changing the Firefox theme. If that works go back and put the one you like back on and hopefully it will be fine.

Also is there a way to just change the TitleBar's (On top) color but not edit the Taskbar? It seems to me that you have to change both at the same time but not individually

What color you talking about. Text on taskbar buttons and text on the titlebar?

The color of the top Title Frame. Not sure how to just edit that color, without changing the taskbar color as well. Here's a pic showing what I'm talking about:

I have removed win8 from my computer for right now. If my memory serves me right I believe the White part can't be changed in win8. The Black at the top is the per pixel Caption and uses a graphic. The taskbar is also a graphic located in the Edit start menuand and taskbar/ edit horz taskbars The graphics are separate from one another.

Sorry thought you were using WB 8 and SS 8. It's included with those. I use them with no problem and don't have win 8 installed on here anymore.
