Do you advise using Windows 8.0 or 8.1?

I just bought a new laptop that came pre-loaded with Windows 8.0, which (like everyone here) I detest. My paid copy of Start8 is now installed. Given my goal of making this thing run as much like Windows 7 as possible, should I bother with the upgrade to Windows 8.1, or should I stick with 8.0? It isn't clear to me that Start8 is running smoothly with 8.1 at this point.

Start8 works on 8.1 so you can upgrade to it. Just make sure you install the latest version from here: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products If for some reason you run into issues, we can assist with that.
