I purchased the Start8 license on December 8th, but when I tried to activate it, I failed. It said "product activation could not write the activation signature".
And I seeked help from your forum and people said I need to run it as administor. However, it failed again saying "maximum activation reached". I emailed you immediately, but clearly no one cared it seems. I hope you could help me fix this.
I opened up a tickets with support Ticket: #REL-342-19501 and Ticket: #LBK-727-92760-nobody answers me....
Its not that we don't care. Please be aware that when you reply to your ticket multiple times before we do, you keep resetting your position in the queue, which delays you receiving a response from us. Your tickets have been merged into one and has been replied to.

I too have the same problem and no one seems to be addressing it. Is anyone even monitoring the Stardock help desk?

This is what I replied to the ticket.
As I explained, I got a new computer over the holidays. At first I trained transplanting my HDD from my existing pc to the new mother board, CPU, etc. From a Start8 perspective it worked. The windows installation was unstable and crashed regularly though. So I tried reinstalling windows. When I attempted Start8 activation it seemed to work but complained about being unable to write string. I clicked it several more times with the same result and then the message changed to max activation limit reached.
I only have Start8 installed on a single computer. It's currently unactuated and useless at current. Please reset my activations to help me resolve this issue.

I reformat my computer often and at various places - either at work or at home. I guess I've hit the limit.
Also, what is the best way to backup my registration so I don't have to do this every time I reformat my machine - which may be often due to testing purposes.
