Holy Macaroni!
What were they thinking? Yikes!

Wow that is ugly! Maybe they were expecting transparency.

The sad thing is, they were probably charged a fortune for that by some "trendy" web design company. Jeez, I could have done better, and I'm rubbish!

BoXXi, I'm sure the BBC have their own in-house web0-designers cos I've seen jobs advertised for them... might have gone for them if I hads a _lot_ more experience at web design, but anyhow yeah you could definitely have done better.... (and you're far from rubbish)

DavidK...Same here. I thought that WFx had done something. If the scroll bar is pink, though, I'm not sure I want to see the rest of it. Yeeeech

Oh, my lord!!!! It loaded. Ackk (Bill the Cat) That design wasn't an accident, a failed attempt at transparency. They did that on purpose.

Any designer that thinks bright magenta is readable on a light gray background needs shooting. To think I was actually considering getting a job with the BBC web team...

I once applied for a job with the BBC as a "Website Content Producer". I didn't get it. I wish I had, it would have been great fun telling the designer that the graphics "Sucked Big Time".
