Please Find a Way to Guarantee HW is Connected to Asteroid or Dwarf Planet

So, played a 4v4 where my HW was connected to 1) Volcanic world with large militia 2) Ice world with large militia 3) Space junk with one extractor...

The dwarf and asteroid "near" my HW were both 2 jumps away....definitely a very rough start...

I understand that the dwarf planet now spawns "with" the HW...but I very much would like to see it so that the HW always connects to at least one asteroid/dwarf planet...

This has been an issue since original sins and while implementing it may require some work, I hardly see this as a controversial change balance-wise....

I rarely see this, however I do feel for you. My friend last game had 1 belt, 2 asteroids, a space junk, and a volcanic, the only real goodies were long ways away from him. he had a rough start too

(he also had the volcanic, and the spacejunk directly connected to him. the asteroids were after either

Especially with dwarf planets, it is a rare thing...but in any given 5v5, good odds at least one person will have to put up with this...

In skilled games, it's a handicap...in more casual games, low skilled players may be seriously set back because they don't know how to handle the situation...

Please please please do something...this issue is long overdue...

^^^This, and reduce radomness in spawning of neutrals. I would like to see it this way:

Farther from Sun, lower the chance to spawn neutrals.  Since HW's are near edge of the map, it's unlikely to get more than 1-2 neuts. Near sun, however, this number should be fairly high. This will reduce number of occassions on which player starting positions are very unfair (sometimes 0vs5 neuts, if enemy is equal skill and HWs are close you're screwed). This will also let Vasari use their scouts properly.

Before anyone whines "OP", number of neutrals can be easily adjusted, so Vasa don't get too much resources early game.

Yes, this would really be nice.

This is an old request from the begining of the game.  I don't see it being fixed more than what they did with giving you a high likelihood of having a roid and a dward.

You were in a better position than me one round. Started off next to a terran planet with a heavy militia and nothing else. I took it, and the enemy fleet arrived, already owning about 3 or 4 asteroids next to their planet.

But yeah, really it would be great if this could be fixed. Pretty sh** getting severely stacked starting positions.

Just had this happen again...no asteroid or dwarf connected to my capital...devs please address this, 2 games in a row now...

maybe REDUCING roid fracking will be something addressed in the map pack.

but, having messed with the random map generator, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a random map ever be always balanced or non-roid-screwing.  They would have to rework the map generator, which is prolly never going to happen.

AKA. you better hope there are alot of awesome premades in the map pack.

On Medium Random maps, I'd also like to see the lanes fixed so that allies aren't cut off by the pirate base.  It's hard to play a 2v2 when one team is unable to send reinforcements to eachother without taking a beating from the pirate base.
