Compact Start menu question

With some of the WB skins I am using if I select a compact Start menu subdesign I can see just the very smallest edge of text on the items on the right side of the menu. However, this does not happen with all compact menus.

Any ideas how to change this as it just doesn't look nice? Thanks.

In SkinStudio, navigate to Start Panel->User Pane, there is on option in the right marked "Size of the User Pane", play with the width until it looks right, save and reload.

You may also need to adjust "Size of the Places Menu", it's in the same Start Panel section.
