what is litestep?

newbie quesstion... i see a lot of things here that i don't understand. i read a comment to a window blinds skin, which said that they couldn't get a certain wallpaper until they installed the litestep version (or something) - what's all that about?

spawn of the devil china? but wait I thought it was a heavenly creation just like woman. So does that mean litestep we kicked out of heaven? Litestep is a complete shell replacement for windows. It replaces the explorer.exe shell that currently controls your desktop, icons, and start menu/task bar. Litestep is a wonderful and completely flexible shell with countless modules you can use to customize your shell and desktop how ever you wish. The only drawback to it is that you need to be able to read to use it. There is a nice manual that teaches you about it, and the programming side needed to configure it. SOmetimes people see a wall in a litestep theme and really want that wall, so they download the theme to extract the wall. Does any of that makes sense? I doubt it since I was the one that wrote it.
