Judder playing HD video in MPC-HC only if Object Dock is active

Downloaded the newest ObjectDock_Free yesterday, nice proggie, but wondering some time afterwards about strong judder playing 1080i + p videos in MPC-HC (Media Player Classic - HomeCinema). It was a 24 hour job to find out that Object Dock was the reason (I'm just setting up a few things here - Win7 64bit).

The judder appears only windowed not fullscreen and only by DXVA (hardware accelerated) playback. My graphics card should be powerful enough - Radeon 6900 series. But same issue on a Mobility Radeon 5850 (Acer Aspire 8942G). Exiting Object Dock -> all clean!

Seems Object Dock to have influence especially on MPC-HC cause 2 other players I tested (PotPlayer and even GraphStudio) playing DXVA windowed clean while ObjectDock is running. (But MPC-HC loading everything and faster ;))

Well well, hoping that somebody writing the next Object Dock is passing by here...

Additional, the 1920x1080 videos only stuttering if Aero is switched off (default setting in MPC-HC) and I'm using non-Aero Themes.

I tried now 3 others, with the simple Y'z Dock same issue, with RocketDock videos playing clean.

XWindows Dock 2.0.3 Beta - judder in 3D mode, 2D mode clean.

Why are you disabling Aero?

Doing so will disable hardware acceleration of layered windows such as those ObjectDock uses and so the cpu usage will increase considerably every time a layered window is repainted and if this is overlapping say a video the updates will be at 30/60 times a second.

Windows Vista/7 run considerably worse than XP when in non Aero mode as XP has hardware acceleration for layered windows and the other OSes require Aero to be enabled for that.

Thank You I didn't know that.

Well I'm used to white letters on dark desktop, windows and applications since 20 years and did not find a way to realize that with Aero. Of course sadly enough many apps have white background so I'm used to swich often to a black lettered theme.

Ok whatever, I will stay with ObjectDock, looks nice and more Win7-stable than RocketDock and switch it off or change theme if necessary.

As mentioned obove still hoping somebody writing the next Object Dock could find interest in this or may be use the information to solve other issues...
