Please allow Angle Brackets and Spaces while creating names again!

If someone wants to join a pre-existing clan, and tag up on that account, they no longer can!

[, ], are examples of two brackets that need to be allowed in the creation of names.

Spaces wouldn't hurt either.

Sorry, but some users were abusing this to cause issues with the chat system, so it's been disabled permanently.

Yarlen, can you add a feature that allows you to modfiy a current name and add a clan tag too it?  like this could be an option under player set up tag.  This way you would still log in on the default name, example Joe123.  Then you click the tab and enter a clan tag like [creative]Joe123.  If you wanted to ignore or whisper this player, you would simply whisper Joe123.

One of the most annoying things is " marks in names, as in "Bad Name" which prevents anyone from scrolling through /w with TAB.

Quotes are disabled as well but all names that were made before last update can still be used.

And yes I agree they are annoying.

OP is known to have abused some of the features of ICO Online, and he's almost certain to be amongst those who abused the chat system in the manner you describe.

As another example, he crashes games hosted in lobby if he does not, as he so often puts it, 'get his way' with the host instead of just leaving or hosting his own game. Crashing games is a recognized offence that administrators for many multiplayer online games do not tolerate. To top it off, Starplayer uses foul, abusive language to all and sundry that come to play online; he doesn't have any regard for anyone and he'll use language as he pleases.

Starplayer doesn't deserve to play online with such irresponsible behaviour. I'm sure many people would agree with me. The next time I see him do any of this I'll be happy to send visual proof.

cool thanks, and in Rebellion i'm sure people are going to want to just claim they are in the clan, so maybe there could be a password set for each Tag by the clan leader or something.  Just a suggestion
