I can wait two more weeks just to make sure 1.1 doesn't suck.

1.1 determines whethert his game goes into the Great Bad Purchase file of 2010 or the First I Game I bought That Didn't Suck Past 2008 file.

I would be quite willing to wait a good deal longer than we already have. I'm fine just browsing the forums and making design plans with the MoM MOD team.

I'd go so far as to say that if 1.1 took another 6 months, but included unit abilities and polished features, I would be delighted. Having said that, it probably isn't a good idea from a business strategy perspective.

It's a beta patch.  We're supposed to get the suck out of them.

I also think the two expansions are going to address more polishing, and 6 months is probably closer to that type of time frame.

I just hope we do get these two expansion packs. I am actually not expecting much from 1.1 and I am looking at the future.

I just found out today that most of the people that done Drakensang 1 and 2 lost their job as the studio didn't sell enough copies so I am just afraid something similar does not happen here.

It already happened twice with games I really liked but then they were left in unfinished and bugged states (Troika with ToEE and Bloodlines; Hellgate London game developers and these guys got disbanded like 1-2 months before releasing a patch that was supposed to make the game a looot better :( )

likewise. not going to play again, buy any expansions or recommend the game until i know that some of the fundamentally flawed mechanics have been totally reevaluated.

It`s so quiet for devs side today... seems like they work on some surprise   .

I've been playing Master of Magic 1.04H to bide the time until 1.1 arrives so no hurry as the AI is a lot more challenging now.

Or maybe they just work. I wouldn't hope for too much.

It's not a holiday for many in the US.  Also was announced on Monday when I asked that they would be working today.
