I don't know what it was, but after some of the horrors of the internet that I've already witness, from goatse.cx (if you don't know that one I implore you never to click such a link) to the girl who swore that she was the best photoshopper in the world, and had a whole site dedicated to some of the most ghastly pieces of "art" I've ever seen. There was perhaps a time, but it's long since gone. What was it btw?

Not pointing at fingers...but it might have been lassie. I don't know..I don't have the evidence to back it up, but he has called me a slut when I got back online. Too much of a coincidence if you ask me.

Anyways, I'm glad it's over...and I really want to know who did it. It wasn't funny one bit. I was rather pissed at it. I must admit though, if I knew who it had been when I found out, that guy probably would've had me ringing his/her house the very next second with a string of rather nasty words.

you know that common sense does dictate that if you have a problem with art at deviantART then you bring it up with the administration at deviantART, not start a thread at WinCustomize regarding your displeasure? honestly, did you believe that bringing this up here would have allowed deviantART administration to act any quicker in the removal of material that is in direct violation of the various policies that exist at deviantART?

...and to address your subject line, do not ever count on deviantART starting moderation. we have a submission agreement, etiquette policy and abuse/harrasment policy, all of which we enforce quite vigorously. we have pre-pubescents who appear to lack common sense and decency, who submit garbage like the one you encountered, which we deal with when necessary. there is no need for more.

I can't find where to go to to start a new thread about anything. I'd post this over there... but that seems to be a bit impossible.

I even tried to create an account and still that was no help. Noramlly, creating an account... no biggie... but I had a wretched time on DA (you might need more bandwidth). I spent a LONG time waiting for the create account page to load.... As a rule of thumb, I usually only give a page 30 minutes to load... any longer, and I quit.... but for DA I made an exception... 45 minutes and still trying to load... no bueno....

No offense intended... I really would like to post this over there... how 'bout you show me how to post at DA... =P

After asking iMike about it....

Apparently, you need to click on the subtitle of a category of forum you want to post in and then a new page would show up (good luck with that with the little luck with creating an account). That's where you post it.

Of course, I've wondered how many people actually knew of this.....

yeah, I noticed. I found it a few minutes ago and was gonna post on it... but I guess you beat me to it =p

still I can't get the page to create an account to load.. I'm just gonna let it run till I get off work and see if it ever finishes.

Haven't been able to fin the Forums at all on DA.. pfft !

I'm sorry, jark, but I rather dislike the idea of people telling me I lack common sense. I know to post on the DA msgboard....but hell, I didn't know how to like UHRBid up there.

thecat2000: at the top of the page, there is a link that reads "Message Forum". That's the one. Or you can just go directly to http://forum.deviantart.com

I never had any problem whatsoever figuring out how to start a new thread in a forum over at DA (?)...
There are 4 forums, maybe that's the only confusing part (Art Scene, Deviants, Help, Suggestions). Once you've entered a specific forum, at the bottom of the page you'll see the new thread box you see here. It's the same. Unless you haven't logged in, then you'd see a text that says:
"Only Deviants are allowed to post in the Devious Forums. Join, it's fast, easy and best of all - FREE! Signup now, and join one of the fastest growing communities today!"

Of course, if you haven't sucessfully created an account yet, it could be a problem. I suggest trying at different times, because DA does tend to be slow from time to time.

Elfie, I'm sure you understand jark's frustration though. It is equally frustrating for Frogboy to read people complaining about wincusto at DA.

I have to agree. Jark's not just a fellow Admin, he's my friend. You can always just drop a note to jark@deviantart.com and he'll help you very quickly.

First of all, I have no vile intentions towards Jark. I made a point here because I was just voicing an opinion of mine. Now, no offense Jark, but the people on the forums are also people who have been known to degrade deskmod. IMHO, I like Deskmod and I respect it. I didn't write it on the DA msgboard because of a few reasons I have of my own. The purpose wasn't to tell you there's a problem. I was just voicing an opinion. Let me repeat that again. I was just voicing an opinion.

I know you already know there's a problem seeing that yes, you seem to keep on top of all uploads and other things at your site. I thank you for the dedication you have for your own site. It's great to see it.

In answer to Frogboy's question. It was a picture off my webcam. How the person know the url to the webcam or find out I had an email that existed (I had told no one else of the existing email), I don't know.

Here's the list of all the comments that were on it, after pulling it from my temporary internet files.

1. Had a webcam of me eating twizzlers
2. Had a beaver next to the picture saying "I hope I never become that damn fat!"
3. Under the beaver was a comment "2 dolla cock suck!"

Under the pictures were:

4. "I have to hold my food sideways, otherwise I can't see it!"

5. "I have begun the quest to become the size of a whale"

6. Two quotes were on there. One by ess-vid and Matrix. I recongize ess-vid's quote about wanting money back for something..and he was talking to I think imike when that was taken out of context. I can't figure out what was for matrix's quote

7. "I have 182 forms of sexually transmitted diseases" was right under those

8. under that is "im not a mail order bride, i just act like one!"

9. then it had my url of http://elfkura.quadrent.net (erm..it's gone now)

10. under that is Yes I did something these graphics

11. Owned by some odd name

12. Powered by mono

Damn thats bad... Well all i can say is I can feel for this situation. I have had some form of abuse at me on DA, but nothing on this scale as bad as your's. It is great to see it was taken off so fast though, as I never even saw it [thank god]

Jarks work on DA is excellent though, and you can be assured that any kind of abuse is not tolerated there.

Yes yes, I know everyone loves DA, but come on, can't Elfkura have some freedom to vent among friends? This isn't the first time DA has gotten pissed at what others say on outside sites.
