[eINFO] Buildings without tile designs - a little "hack"

So I just stumbled upon this when setting up the Elf race.

Apparently, you can still build buildings that don't have a tile design. They will take up 0 tiles, and you can't ever delete them (so careful with those upkeep costs!).

All it takes is to get the user to select the building, then click the Build button, or click the map like he was really placing a tile.

Anyway, I hope this can help some people who are trying to reduce the amount and size of cities, without taking away the possibility to actually upgrade them.

Nice, that'd be great for something like city civics or minor upgrades. Lot's of new modding possibilities with this discovery. :)

Hmm you know you can change the tiles allowed by a city, right?

e.g.

<BuildableTiles>70</BuildableTiles>

(you need to edit the improvement type for the city hub).

Interesting info, but invisible buildings (If I understood right) will be boring. It's the ultimate solution for performance issues though, lol.  I love knowing these weird things  \o/

Yes, the reason is not so that you can build all you want, the reason is so the city takes a lot less space. Like Civilization.

Might also be able to use it to do something like a build "economic" or "research" option in CIV... where we define Economic as a tileless building that gives a one time bonus of x amount of gildar/tech/arcane.

Edit: though not sure how one time bonuses would work with tech, hence "might"

Are you guys able to demolish any normal upgrades, when using invisible buildings? For me, when I build one of those I cannot ever demolish anything in that city.
