Time for a bit of color

As some of you may know, I work on a passenger ferry and am out at sea for 2 weeks at a time. This relative isolation give me plenty of time to sit in my cabin and doodle.

Sometimes inspiration comes to me in funny ways. Take for instance my razor. I was shaving before work and I started to admire the colors of my Gillette Fusion

I thought, "those colors would make a nice blind"

This is what came out of that thought

I don't know why I called it Blue Wing......it's just the name that popped into my head

Just the color sceme is inspired from my razor. It's not a Gillette Fusion blind. That's why I didn't call it Fusion. ;)

I'd lose the big branding in SM.. I also think the shade of blue on the razor would be a slicker choice but that just me  :P

the color I used is closer to the razor itself. That was just the best image I could find of it. Anyway I was just telling how I got the colors, I'm not doing a Gillette Fusion blind.

Update

I have removed the branding per John's suggestion. I'm looking into a logo type thingy for the orb at the top of the startpanel because it seems a bit bare/unfinished. Don't know what I'll do there :d

The red button in the logoff section on the startpanel is the shutdown/install state........the glyphs have an orange mouseover

The colors are great.  I get a little tired f gray and black.  This is warm and pleasant.  I like the rounded shapes too.  Hope you finish it fast cause I WANT IT!!!

It's looking good Tim. I have a personal prefernce for NOT having white backgrounds......but that's just me. I will likely change it to light gray or very light blue.

I'm curious about the taskbar mouse overs........orange highlight maybe?
