92% wins!?...Kick him!

Just wanted to share some of my lovely experiences since the premier of overlay with the community. For starters, this afternoon I spent just over an hour looking for a game to play in; joined a total of 4. In every single one of those games I was treated like I had the plague. Since I, in fact, did buy this game to play with my friends, I was kind of upset when the new stats overlay came out. But I got over the fact that I wouldnt be able to play with them anymore. Not for one second did I think I wouldn't be able to participate in Pick-Up-Games. What really squashes my mind-grapes is that when I do find a host who doesn't mind my presence, the rest of the people who are joining all take one look at the stats overlay and leave, so then the host kicks me for scaring people away from his game. Has anyone else been experiencing this kind of drama? Because for me, this is getting a bit rediculous...

That's a bummer man.  Maybe Compstomp is going to have a whole new meaning when guys like you have to start losing to the computer to get your win % down.

 

It does suck though... you'd think people would want to get the replay of how a 92% guy plays the game.  I'd love to play with you sometime, and not just to steal your builds.

I'd like to with you too, the only way I can get better at this game is to play with goood player. That's what everyone should be lookin for instead of worries about stats.

I have a solution is that you need to get your win% back to to 50%.   just try to play some games and lose on purpose.

Mabye this is just fallout from Demigod not fufilling the needs of competetive players? The people who would want to play 92% stat games are gone. Left are the casual players who simply wjust don't want to play with people who are going to make games unfun for them.

For example in HoN, stat's play just as much of a burden on someone with high stats trying to get in a random game. Yet there are games going on specifically with people with those stats that will kick anyone out who do not have the same high stats.

yeah it's very tough these days to get a game going...I started to play noobs in my team just to loose but then it's very frustrating too see how dumb some people are, so I think I'm just gonna quit this game for a while

I've played games with teammates that have 30% win records, and we've beaten teams with 65% wins. People put too much faith in the overlay.

I suggest playing rook, and gettign structural transfer.. Works great on ANY citidel.}:)

jay budi ... ur always welcome in my lobby, to play with or against. i like a good challenge coz noob stomping is just boring and takes out the 'intense' element of the game.

Lol thats who ive been using lately...can only make it into games vs friends and premades, so most of the time the matches are pretty tough...Ahhh u caught me lifekatana...just wanted to boast about the fact that I cant play my beloved demigod because people think stats are everything!...

I kind of like it.

 

Finally, all the premades who ONLY face pugs or the people like Morpheas who intentionally stack teams (including kicking people on his or the other team to make sure it's a sure win) are having trouble getting games with normal players.

 

People who are just very good.. that does suck. :( I'd say, host a game, and if you want to make the other team feel comfortable, ask the people with higher percentages to go on the other team and you can (gasp) play with the newer/crappier players!!!

 

 

Granted, this might hurt your chance of a sure win, but if you're only playing for sure wins, why would you expect everybody to bend over for you?

I think some people might also assume you're using some hax to force a gamestate error so you don't have your losses recorded.

Ive said it before, there are three ways to have a win rate that high:

A: You are an awsome player.

B: You stack your team so that the other side doesnt stand a chance.

C: You cheat.

Those are are the only 3 way I know to get a win rate so high.  I have a felling the majority of the comunity (average players) dont really want to play agianst you for those reasons.

There is a 66% chance you are dishonest, and a 33% you are so good that they dont stand a chance anyhow.

why complain about something like this? take it as a compliment.They kick you because they are scared of you. I'd rather be feared because of my stats compared to someone liking me because my stats

What has been working for me is to friend a couple of high-winners, and ask them to come to each team. Usually, people don't mind a 90% winner if they have a 75-90% as well on their side. As a plus, it makes the game more even and fun to play.
