Any girls here?

Any girls here?

I hope I'm not the only one D:

Just a quick question... are there any girls here? I see girly icons but I'm still unsure. D:

Quoting Miyamiya, reply 12Honestly I can't stand girls/women who go out of their way to make it known they are female when playing games online.

They are almost as bad as the guys who go crazy over them as if the game is for picking up a date.
Oh really? So a woman who says she's a woman is doing what exactly that men don't do when they say they're men?I've seen guys call women "attention whores" (elsewhere, not here) for saying we're women in the first place, but a guy who's mistaken for a woman seems to have no qualms about saying "No, I'm a man" and that's okay?

And when men (as in this thread) think it's funny to recycle jokes that are well over a decade old about how there are really no women on the internet, is it really surprising that women who are on the internet say, "No, really, I'm on the internet."

And of course, so many men just assume everyone they see is a man (check my karma - most of the guys who give me karma refer to me with male pronouns), but it's somehow wrong for a woman to say "no, I'm a woman?" Why is it okay to visibly be a man, but to visibly be a woman is "going out of their way?"
End of Phaedyme's quote

I think you may have misread the quote. (S)he was referring to women who immediately say "by the way, I am female" before the subject has even come up, not women who answer honestly when asked about their gender. In any case, although I sometimes slip up, I usually try to refer to all people of unknown gender as "(S)he"(as above). However, if (s)he actually was referring to women who are simply honest about their gender, then yes, that is a bit unrealistic.....

You never know....best way to find out is by their posting style and by spontaneous answers.

This reminds me that one time in a 2v2 on StarCraft 8 years ago It was me and an internetfriend against two clanners where one was female(!). One clanner dropped and when I found out that she was female I started flirting and betrayed my internetfriend by allying with her instead to kill my internetfriend ^_^

Also when I chat or post with women I tend to become pretty childish or "too much". What can I say, I like chicks! :grin:

your just creepy then.  anyways, you can't tell a person's gender by their posting style.

The only way to figure out which of the opposite sex can be indicated by whatever they wrote is to detect some interesting personality flaws such as;

-- Being shy in public.

-- Being anonymous in public.

If both the above can give a hint, you must then proceed carefully to the following exact sequence of FAQ;

-- Do you paint your face in obvious makeups?

-- Do you realize how often you misrepresented gender when you were younger, by now?

If both answers are yes... there's a 55% chance, someone is either impersonating a male or they are trying to hide the fact they are **probably** a female.

Boys & Girls don't even want to be bothered with the complex stuff above UNLESS they're playing a game with anyone which has already revealed their gender.

Meaning -- i'm still not a girl. (Click membership of the red spider, and guess if i was honest when i opened this account!)

Although, s/he (op) can write whatever s/he pleases.

Privacy settings included, btw.

Thus, i was also a boy -- in the past.

Be strong, be nice. Charming, isn't it? Stereotypes are more than simple social values, they're in fact a way to find beauty in the mind and, at times, behavior in ugliness.

Androgynous encounters are kinda strange.

OMG. No. Someone actually shared some perosnal information with you. Say it isn't so. What is the world coming to when someone shares information that shatters this ego of men who think they own everything on the planet, including the internet and all games. I can't stand men who can't handle the fact that they share the planet with the opposite sex.

It's not that we can't handle it. It's that most of us just don't care.

I also find displaying gender like it's a trophy annoying, although I've done it once.

"I h8 wemon there only good fr the kitcen"

"girl here, jackass" I didn't push any further.

Ok, given that this game is mostly a war game should probably indicate that most people on this fourms are guys. Sure there might be a few females in here, but it is few.

I m not being sexist, but most females probably perfer another game, that is gear towards females ;) X| :blush: *_* >_>

I don't see what the title of the thread has to do with anything, since the OP is the one asking the question, not me. If you would read the thread you would see that I'm only here to clear up a few misconceptions, like yours.

So nice try, but I still don't care.

You can not care if girls play the game, but come anyways for the trolling.
