I dont know how you found out about this, but I appreciate you bringing it up! This is really funny, but I wish that you would say who the company was so that I could make sure that if I am ever in France I will never buy anything from them!
Aloha!

Irrelevant? Nice Drag...Stalin once said that the opposition was irrelevant. and 10 million of them ended up in the dirt because of their "irrelevancy".

Heck, I hope they sell a boat load to the French (if it is putting dollars into the US economy), I know they eat that stuff up over there. As for here, probably 95% of Americans don't even know the name of the French president. Why? Ignorance mostly, but also because who cares! People should know who is important in the world. I suggest we make tons of Bush Bashing merchandise to sell in Europe, and then we can use the proceeds to finance the war in Iraq. Both sides win, we'll have a bunch of Europeans that get their rocks off expressing their contempt for the US (I'm here to tell you it started long, long before Bush became president, been there, seen it) through fashion and the US government gets their Euros to spend as it sees fit. The Bush bashers that live in the US (and just can’t get over it and move on with their lives) can get a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling from their French soul mates.

Oh sure, I bet you "laughed" at that clip of Bungholio Jr. flippin the bird to the cameras while he was Governor and then laughing about it. "Irrelevant" I assume?

The label should say......

"Bush is an idiot, but democrats lost twice to him. So what does that make them?"

Now That's the funnies thing in this thread!

But I still wouldn't put that Bush in an idiot, he may be, but we as americans have to respect the office that he holds.......

As everybody who knows me knows, I'm a stauch conservative republican... that said, I thought that was frickin awesome. Heck, I'd buy more clothes from them if they were around here. It's always refreshing to see that not everybody considers politics a thing only fit for arguing over.

Whats truly funny is the general illiteracy of the 'leftists' that post here...man, could you all POSSIBLY misspell more words while you are telling us how stupid we are?

Have some mercy! People make typos. Ideas and spread of knowledge are more inmortant.

"Bush is an idiot, but democrats lost twice to him. So what does that make them?"

It makes center right rather than far right, yet somehow they are portrayed as extreme leftist. What a bizarre world we live in. Come to think of, democrats only lost one election.

Helix
Respect the Office if even not the person

I doubt that's what Thomas Jefferson said in respect to the British Crown. How about respect humans because they are human. I give Bush the same respect that I give every other human. As a president, though, I don't respect him. That's ok, right?

Take some time, read the blog, respond...in that order.

Not to mention that it is a personal attack on the President of the United States as well. Sorry but I don't take well to someone printing such things about our president, no matter who he is.

Since when can we not critisize, joke about, or have negative feelings about our leaders? Come on!

Good job Left! You look like whining fools again !

Joke, joke, joke. Whining fools? No.

Ability to spell is not directly related to how smart you are.. I am one of worse spellers in joeuser. I am saved by IeSpell, however. There IS people with dyslexia. I don't know if I have it, I can read just fine.

So if I print up a couple thousand tshirts with my signature phrase. "The only good Bush is a Shaved Bush, for those that want to drag God into it, a Burning Bush". I would be branded a Bush basher......

Well isn't that what "Bush" is for?

That's kind of my view in general. I rarely resort to calling my opponents stupid. Glass houses/stones type thing.  Many of the people (not saying XX is like that) I see on-line calling Bush "idiot" or other such names are barely literate.

You should see some of the email I get from people who can barely put a sentence together yet still feel confident in calling Bush a "moron". Or better yet, those who consider Bush supporters "stupid" while they themselves care barely write.

ahem....iMportant....

This was intended by leaping lizard as yet another joke. A joke. You see, sometimes, when folks want to get a point across, such as how irrelevant spelling is when replying to a blog (this is not anyone's dissertation), a little thing called "humor" is sometimes applied.

I don't normally pick on people for missing the point of a posting, unless they are engaged in doing the exact same thing they accuse their opponent's of doing (ie. behaving in a smug and superior manner).

I dont normally pick on people for their spelling, (or grammar, in XX's case) unless they are engaged in telling others how 'stupid' they are, or how 'stupid' our President is....after that, I consider them fair game.

Maybe you should be emailing the company then, not ranting and raving on a blog. I don't think anyone on this blog said, "Yeah, our president is stupid," or even"Yeah, how fitting." They just commented on the humor of it, or stated how stupid it was.

You're acting pretty intellectually superior. This is something that gets thrown at the left an awful lot, but here you are...and you're right, right?

I think it's a great idea. The French people will laugh. Then they will buy more shirts. Capitalism at its finest!

You know what, either you didn't get the point of what I said (possible), or you chose to ignore it in order to get the last word in on this little sidetrack (also possible). Either is fine with me, but allow me to quote myself:
when folks want to get a point across, such as how irrelevant spelling is when replying to a blog

The operative term here is "irrelevant". Wait a minute, did I type too quickly and mispell "irrelevant"? Hmmm, maybe I should just stare at the word for a while and let's it's meaning sink in...

I've just seen so many from the right that say, Kerry was a traitor cos he said the war was wrong, and you couldn't say that bout our prez.

or that you should respect the president. Don't say bad things bout the president.

Well, I feel that the label was talking bout Bush in particular, so the issue of respecting the office of president is irrelevant.

And, this is America! People the world over fawn over the fact that you have such freedom to speak out against your leaders, despite all the contempt. Are the right suppressing the very freedom they purport to spread to the world? All because "We shouldn't say such things about the president?"

And also, what's with the anti-French sentiments? For all you know, some of you would have ancestors with French blood in them. Why the racism? Because they told you the war on Iraq would not turn up any WMDs?
Would any of you protect the office of president as fervently as you do if Kerry won?

I can't believe this thread turned into an arguement about typos.

News Flash: LL makes typos. Doctors have Determined She's Illiterate.

For crying out loud. Typos don't make people illiterate, and perfectly corrected blogs don't make people genius. This emphasis on spelling and editing have created a nation of people that think they can't write.

It's tough, isn't it? I try to avoid posint highly political retoric, but this was just to funny, and not that political....right?huh?

Posting, that was a tough one to figure out. Oh, and to should have been too. Oh, I missed the h in rhetoric. Yeah, oops. Guess I'm dumb.

I wonder who really does have the best spelling skills? The right or the left? The best penmanship? The most legible cursive? How 'bout this, who has the best math skills? Who can climb a tree faster? Looks better in a thong? So many questions! I wonder if liberals or conservatives are more fun in bedroom? Hmmm...

I do think that spelling and grammar is pretty important to writing a reply. If Bush spoke like he's from gutter and with heavy words, would he get voted in this country's highest position? I think not.

But there is a line where it's just pointless because it would be nitpicking to pick on that little misspelling or that grammar mistake.

Back to article... IMHO, no president have ever had a lack of people deriding the president during the term or after that. I doubt that it will change any time soon.
You doubt me? Just look at political comics and more.

Leaping Lizards, I'm not suggesting all French hate Americans (sorry if my post came off that way). I have, however, been to France many times, in both a military and civilian capacity, over the course of the last 25 years. There exits, in my opinion, an enormous amount of anti-Americanism per capita in that country then vise-versa. While I'm sure it's a vocal minority, it can be highly visible. I've seen visiting US warships protested by our supposed "allies" (I've never seen that here in Norfolk, Virginia when a French warship visits). I've also see Americans turned away from French businesses there, just because they were Americans. So I stand by my statement, completely. Once again, I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands of French that like or are indifferent to the US, but I have never personally witnessed staged contempt in the US for another country as I have abroad towards the US, despite whether a republican or democratic was president. The point leading to my words in which you quoted, clearly meant the overwhelming majority of US citizens can care less about French politics, should we not expect the same? Last time I looked the EU was a world power, so I have little sympathy. And, before you post, I have nothing personal against the French, it's a beautiful place, and I have met some nice people there. I was just shocked by certain unexpected observations over the years. So please don’t act like you know what I’ve seen with my own two eyes.

I am only looking for some cultural sensitivity. Sorry about the harsh comment. Reading it now, I came off a sassy My perspective is different because people very close to my heart live in France and Luxembourg. I do disagree with you on one point.

I don't think this is true, and you rightly stated it as your opinion. I can accept that.

I have never personally witnessed staged contempt in the US for another country as I have abroad towards the US

I am so sorry your experiences reflect this. Like in the US, the population there is varied and divided. I hope you can have a positive experience in the future there. It's such a beautiful place, with warm people, great food, rich wine, and plenty of sweets for the tummy and the eyes. I hope what you see with your two changes next time you go.

So please don’t act like you know what I’ve seen with my own two eyes

Didn't mean to. I'm just a little touchy on the France subject, as you can well tell
