*wait - youre going to have to tell me which dg/build youre doing first if you know ill be doing minion, its only fair.  If its an anti minion dg/build then no stick. 

there's a big differene between "by far the bestest most overpowered" and just "very strong character". one is out of balance the other is not. i'm pretty sure a strong player can win alot with ANY Demigod. a strong player using an Assassin type build of Oak will easily kill many lesser players, Oak is both durable and hard hitting and when played by a strong player who can work around his few weaknesses (slow moving, bad regen rates and low base mana) he can be truly devastating. 

none of this even comes close to convincing that there's some kind of intrinsic problem with the game balance because a strong player can be dominant with Oak. 

thats why i think this post is so off base. its not just the blustering, bragging, flaming, trolling, and other stupid shit thats going on in here. this is the internet, i expected nothing less than that shit. its just the basic assumption of the OP that there's some kind of balance issue because a strong player wins. go practice up on Sedna or Rook or Regulus and start crushing noobs just as easily. its more about the player than anything. most of the DGs are very well designed and can be dominating in the hands of a strong player. Oak doesn't have anything extra special about him. he's just good, the ordinary balanced kind of good. all his skills work right and are well designed. that doesn't indicate any type of overpowered to me though. 

custom games = LOL. they dont prove anything other than that you have a teammate that you play with, vs random noobs. play pantheon or skirmish if you want to prove something. those stats look like a n00b bashers stats to me.

Parasite Egg doesn't work. Only like 25% damage is carried over. So you're Sedna and you Pounce him, that's a whopping 250 damage, against 1000hp easily-replaced regenerating Spirits. Yay...

I'm curious about the sentiment around here that Oak is really weak early game. Given what I've seen online from other Oaks I would be inclined to agree. However, I simply find that I have no problem whatsoever as Oak early game. I rarely go back to the crystal, have no trouble gaining kills; 2v1 is bad for any demigod. Maybe my competition is just bad.

I just read all the time about how Oak is so weak early game with accounts of what happens and am perplexed as to why the Oak simply doesn't just do action x or y and then the problem goes away. It does for me. The biggest example is sustainability early on. Get monks, micro them properly. Get banded+scalemail asap. Abuse rejuvenation potions. Depending on DGs, utilise rank one soul power's +40 damage and spirit ward's +20. Never take unecessary damage. Use rank 1 penitence judiciously. It's all about health, not mana, early on. All of this makes the difference between hiding next to your tower and muscling the opponent out of your lane.

I just don't see it. I never have a problem early game. What am I missing? As far as I can see it, Oak is easy to play badly early on, but that doesn't take away from his maximum performance.

Honestly a win record doesn't mean much when 90% of people just disconnect when they lose. I think disconnects should count as losses, but that's a bit offtopic.

You know the thread is going place when the OP suggests that the clear majority of poster stating Oak is balanced just have yet to play against a good Oak.

To put it bluntly, your statements are just not accurate. The only serious op dg in this game (Erebus) already recieved his nerf and is fine now.  I think you can make a few statements that a few classes could use some minor damage buffs, but the game is quite well tuned as far as balance stands currently.
