does deskscapes work on vista 64?

Wondering if deskscapes works on vista 64. I can't seem to get it to work but then there also seems to be no instructions. If i download a new .dream file it will pop up a dialog telling me i have to register to use 3rd party ones but otherwise I get nothing, no config no dialogs nada.

Just check Windows Ultimate Extras under Windows Update for Windows Dreamscene or look for Windows Dreamscene in the installed updates, confirm that you've installed the update.

You should then try uninstalling and then re-installing deskscapes and .dreams should run fine.

Ok so does it only work on vista ultimate? I was under the impression this was an app for any version of vista. I am using enterprise on this system.

What version of Deskscapes are you running?  What OS and version?

The trial version will play the five bundled dreams and the following dreams available on Wincustomzie for purchase from Stardock Design:

  • Desktop Collage
  • Photo Dream
  • Liquid Dream

DeskScapes supports nearly all versions of Windows including Vista 32-bit, Vista 64-bit  (Home Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise) and 32-bit versions of Windows XP.

Its just that Vista Ultimate users can download full version of deskscapes 1.02  whereas others mentioned above have to purchase deskscapes 2 to get the full version or else they can just play 5 dreams included in the free trial.

The latest trial (because impulse won't recognize my reg info which is another ticket...) and Vista 64bit enterprise.

Just right click on your desktop, select Personalize, then Desktop background, in the drop down click on DeskScapes animated wallpapers or simply browse to My Documents/ Stardock/ Dreams from here and it will show you the thumbnails of all dreams, select the one you want, below that select how it should be positioned.

    Hope this will help you.
