Starship bonus?
I got an event giving a planet 48% starship bonus. What does this do actually?

Every ship built on that planet gets a 48% bonus to its attack rating, which is kind of a big deal.
Haha. The planet in question has 300% Production tile and considering I already have 3 Military resources with Advanced Mining Matrix this game is going to be hilarious (Drengi).
Looks like you got doubly lucky, but even if the planet was crappy production-wise, you could build cheap empty hulls there and then upgrade them to combat designs with the bonus intact. Happy smashing ![]()
In a game last night, as a civilization trying to be Good, I found myself in a predicament as I found a planet that offered +42% starship bonus if I chose the Evil option. I don't plan on conquering other worlds, but let's face it I will need ships in the future for some reason (pirates, peacekeepers, etc).
What to do? What to do?
Evil
Done *click*
You can always purchase your way to goodness, 2500 for neutrality (recommended for Korx), 10000 for goodness (from evil) Don't pass up a huge bonus for the sake of alignment.
Does the bonus show up anywhere after you build the ship, so you can look at a ships stats and know if it has the bonus?
I haven't seen the applied bonus mentioned anywhere on the Ship Details screen. I mean there is no "+??% Starship bonus" notation in ship information. You will find that on the Planet Details screen, though.
The only way to know if a ship has the bonus is to compare the stats to a similar ship that was built on another planet. It'll be noticible in the Attack. Like one of my dreadnoughts (upgraded from a Lucky Ranger) had 330 Attack, but a similar model dreadnought that was built on the planet I had the starship bonus had a 425 Attack.
