Is the connectivity better?

After reading the day 2 status report I do not recal seeing any thread about not being able to connect. Is the connectivity any better are people able to play the online multiplayer without any problem? Or not?

Yeah, I want to know this too - is it a good idea to buy the game yet?

Connnections have been much better, for me anyway. However, there are still seemingly random drops in games, and the ranking system/achivement system are non-functional at this point as they keep producing false data or rewriting themselves. Unfortunately, this makes Pantheon matches essentially pointless.

They're addressing the in-game drops already.  As long as your ports are properly forwarded, you can probably play properly now.  Spent 1-2 hours trying to get the game working with 3 other people like 3 days ago with no success (one person simply had unresolvable issues).  Yesterday, they were doing 3v3s easily (including that person).

day 2 update improved things by a noticeable amount. there can still be headaches but its no longer impossible to get a game going. it could still be better but its quite playable at the moment. things seem to be improving steadily as well as more and more players are learning how to improve their p2p connectivity settings.

verdict: much improved, but not great yet.

expectat further improvement over time. its a great game, i'd recommend picking it up. just learn how to config your router and be willing to have a little patience for at least the next week or two.

much much much better. 90% of the problems I'm seeing are because players are dopes and don't know what the hell they're doing with their firewalls so they don't have nat set up correctly or they're not on a DMZ, etc.

There are occasionally still the 0 ping players even though you appear to be connected so that needs to be resolved but it's much less common now.

This is my first day of properly playing but I can say its not great at all. Dread to think what yesterday was like. Takes an age to get into a game, and everytime it does barely any of the players are actually connecting. All my matches tonight have been 2v2, then if your team mate leaves its just you and a team of bots which is just not fun.

Why does the game show a list of players in the connections list where 4 out of 8 of them have no connection status what so ever and never join the game...

Last game I played was last night, I had a few issues joinging several games where it just said "you were unable to join the game". I think this would be better if we connected to servers rather then directly to the other players...but eh just an idea.

When it says "Attempt to join game failed", it's usually because the game is full.

I still havent managed to play on the pantheon. I must be unlucky as there is ALWAYS someone that never connects to anybody else.

The connection info shows i've connected to (and them to me) the remanding players.... then they bail out. sorta sucks, but i'll wait another few days and try again. I'm assuming that the netcode is still being worked on. B)

It's better but still pretty broken. It can take hours to find a game.
End of Red's quote

Yeah this is an issue for me as well, i spent 5 hours saturday trying to play demigod and out of 5 hours i played maybe 2 games? Most of the games had several people drop because of connectivity issues. The game is amazing though when it works.
