You shouldn't have to spend 20+ mins waiting to connect or find players for a game that is supposedly multiplayer focused...
The game is awesome but this next to be fixed ASAP.
Stardock is already working on a patch to fix a lot of network issues. I wouldn't be to worried about it right now, almost every game has networking trouble when it first comes out.
It'll be fixed soon!
An eta would be nice so I dont gotta keep trying in vain to connect to a multiplayer game to test if it works yet. I mean if it's gonna be a few days, let us know. It's been 30 hours now and I've been trying to get into a game and I haven't got into 1 game yet. I got into a lobby once.
Just play the campain until they fix MP; umm; whoops; 
. Seriously, Lan played perfect for us. It's great, so if you can do that by chance, it will be great. But I can't get into any MP online games either; got into ONE in 2 days of trying, but that stayed stable and smooth the entire game, so things are hopeful. Here's the replay to prove it to you; ummm; whoops
Good thing we got another post pointing out the MP issues that Stardock has already updated us on ( http://forums.demigodthegame.com/346451 ) the other 50 threads just didnt cover the subject enough for me. Not trying to be a smartarse but we really dont need people starting these threads over and over and over.
Yes MP has issues right now. There are a ton of threads. The devs know and are working on it. Yes its frustrating and sucks. Again sorry if my post seemed to be mean.
hehe 48hrs ago it was -- "wheres my key, wheres my key". Now its "online doesnt work...ect." The developers carnt win.
Advice for MP atm: Choose small 2v2 games - easier to connect. Drop the firewall from your router if you carnt connect (it might be you that is the problem). Play the single player to experience all the heros to get a feel for what you want when the connectivity ect is fixed in the coming weeks.
Also not sure if others have had this issue but i find i can connect to small games and then usually someone drops between the lobby and the start of the game (ie the loading screen)
Tekkor I think there would be less posts if Stardock put that 'issues we've taken on board and are working on' posts in the technical issues forum, as that's where most people are going if they have technical issues.
