Stew is the )*_) he is soooo funny... though I think quagmire is the best....( the spelling i donno what it is for his name )
Anyways its always a good convo thing too at work... specally when you have other co workers that like it too....
"hey there crashy... what you doing down there?"
It has its funny parts, but the premise of it I find offensive. Don't portray the show as quality family entertainment when it's anything but.
okay, well, you have your thaughts but i think it is family entertainment, and i dont find it offensive if you think of it as comedy, as most people do. now, perhaps you just dont like comedy like this but some do so don't bring the rest of this post down... and if you don"t like this, try southpark, its even more offensive
and i find it funny too.
He asked what other people thought about it, and I answered. Nothing wrong with that.
Southpark isn't exactly family entertainment, either, but the difference is, they don't pretend to be. They don't open up with a song that says, "All you ever see is sex on TV"...and then follow through with episodes that are full of sexual innuendo. Or the phrase, "things that make you f-ing cry"--that shouldn't even be allowed by the FCC. Ha ha. Hypocrisy is funny.
thats the whole point, hipocracy is funny, that is what comedy they do, and they dont make fun of one group of people, they make fun of everyone so its a fair show, plus your obviously not aware of all the stuff that they make fun of in the show other than race so either your too young or too old, or just not understanding the jokes
Personally, I think that Family Guy is great for a few laughs. In terms of laughs, I guess Peter is my favourite, but when it comes to actual character, Stewie. Stewie and to a lesser extent, Brian. All the way.
Edit: And really, offended by a comedy show? Oy vey.
I personally do not like Family Guy at all. They are offensive, mean, racist, and dirogatory. The show exibihts no class whats so ever, and i have been personally attacked by the show.
examples:
when the family goes to louis fathers home and they work at the plantations with the mexicans (i have hispanic heritage)
how brian and stewy felt offense to the interacial couple (the black guy going out with the white girl)
and many others.
it tramples on others belief system, heritage, moral standards, and corrupts the mind. it is something the world could live without, but as long as this country has free speech, what can we do. right?
I think Stewie is hilarious, but I don't watch it anymore. It became obvious after awhile that the writers had to use the "Just like that time" thing repeatedly because they couldn't seem to write jokes to fit in the context of the story. Cartman was actually telling the truth in the SP episode where he is trying to destroy Family Guy. That's also a major difference between the shows. SP's creators are trying to make a point with their comedy most of the time whether you agree with it or not, but FG's is just fluff. It has it's funny moments, but Peter is the most annoying character and eventually ruins the show.
Family Guy is the bomb. It is mean't as a satire not as a family oriented program.
LOL you do know it is satire right?
You have to say 'over' when you've finished typing your post, over.
Lol Family Guy family entertainment. Since when did family entertainment get broadcast AFTER the watershed. By definition stuff broadcast AFTER the watershed has already been flaged as may contain offensive stuff.

And another thing I have never understood is why people get offended by its racisms. Yes Brian is a RACIST but the audience is not lead to laugh at his racist remarks rather at his bigotry.
For example in that eposide where Peter buys a restraunt and Joe brings all his "wheelchair buddies". Peter Remarks "What are all these perallagrams doing here?". I found that funny, does that mean inside of me beats the black heart of a Nazi eugeneisit?
Or in the episode where Peter discovers he has African-american ancestory, and then spends the rest of the episode acting like a very overblown stereotype. I again found that funny, because of its obserdity. Not because I am a racist. AS far as I'm aware I have never dress up in my bedsheets and burned lower case t- for time to get out(wrong show i know).
So how does this make it degrogator, or racist, perhaps its all the veiwers perpective?
In what way is it portrayed as "quailty family entertainment" if you mean the name and the opening bit, then you've utterly missed the sarcasm, as well as the attack on american traditionalist.
Belittling people arrogant enough to think minor differences make them special is hilarious i.e. someone offended by a comedy mocking racial discrimination because they have mixed racial background... brilliant, so does the whole fucking planet, are you personally offended when someone mocks the inquisition in spain (they're you ancestors too) are you personally offended by video's on youtube of a monkey pissing in it's own face... get off your damn cross.
