autoplace logistics structures

how about an intermediate mode between no autoplace at all and autoplace everything?

if that kind of thing were autoplaced intelligently, I wouldn't have to center of that particular grav well, look at the position and do it, which does take quite a bit more time than just clicking and its done. now, I don't think I would ever really chose to autoplace tactical structure, that is just too sensitive. but for cilvilian buildings ... I do not really care as long as they stay reasonably clustered together and in range of defense, ie repair centers and point defenses. which I think happens right now anyway. the exact position does not really matter that much then.

how do you think? would you use that kind of function?
