I don't want to start any trouble, but all this talk of 'Premium skins' is just rediculous. I think Windowblinds is old, buggy, and outdated, but thats just my opinion. Back in the old days of Win 9X, I hailed Stardock as a saviour that changed the horrendous way my computer looked, but with the advent of modern OS like Vista, it's a totally unecessary waste of my time. Windowblinds has always been a bugfest, but now, it doesnt even have a skin that matches the elegance and class of the native Windows GUI.  To make matters worse, a subscription at Wincustomize doesn't even seem to give you anything. Its like, ok, pay us 20 bucks and then anything worth trying will cost you another $5 a pop. For someone who is quite happy with the Vista GUI, I say let someone else pay that. The only Stardock product I have any use and praise for is Object Dock. The free version is really amazing and it does everything I need so I didnt pay the 20 bucks, but if there were any indications of future development I would be supportive of it.

What I really don't understand is....why would anyone take to time to come to WC just to talk down either the software or the skins. I don't understand why it's not much easier to just not use it, just not buy it and just not complain.

are you sure your using a legal copy of windowblinds, the cracked version is probably buggy and outdated
but i sure as hell know the the legal paid version is smooth, slick and terrific.

Is there a Legion of Wincustomize Bashers? Sure seems like a lot of trolling and negative comments lately :NOTSURE: .

I don't own WindowBlinds, but I've used the trial version and I really enjoyed it! I like being able to change my GUI with a click. It's nice to be able to have your entire desktop GUI match itself (or at least look good ;) ).

It looks like C242 is the only guy who understood this post and offered up an example of what he likes about WB and what he thought I might like about it. I guess its trolling when I ask questions about products, but when Frogboy flames Mac users and calls them "zealots" well, thats just "opinion." On a side note, Vstyler, where do you suppose I discuss WB products, http://disney.go.com?

I wouldn't be too afraid of new Harley rider's these days... its mostly just of a bunch of old, rich lawyer types who like to dress up in leather jackets and act tough on the weekend.

Lets not pretend you came here to discuss. Fact was your comment was so off base factually and insulting that it was obvious to most here that trying to discuss it would have been futile... hence the reaction from everyone.

However if it's discussion you want... I use WB because its the most stable, up to date complete skinning engine currently available.

WHat exactly is 'old' about it, its updated almost daily... and for you.. yet another person, to even suggest that paying for premium skins is a bad thing tells me I will probably be at odds with anything else you say.

You come and mow my grass, fix my truck or do my laundry for free and I'll make you free skins.

Then perhaps you should go and check out "The Steel Pony' or "The rusty nail" here in my town... I can almost garauntee you saying that in those places won't be doing yourself any favors.

I read your title as a title, not as a request for information.  Your body did not indicate a desire for information.  No where in your body did you ask a question and your first sentence seemed set a tone non-conducive to information trading.
