Vanishing Text (v1.03)

So I bought the game last night and popped it open for a few minutes, then closed it and installed the patch. When I re-opened the game, the text was gone and so...I couldn't play. I blindly pressed some buttons and opened up the tutorial, but still...there was no text in game. So I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it and it worked fine. I had some problems installing it so I thought the issue was related to that, I was wrong. I re-installed the patch this morning and the text issue re-appeared. So I guess I have to play exclusively on v1.0...is there anyway to fix this problem? I would definetly like to play on v1.03 because it won't let me play online without it.

Running it via Steam perchance? Steam is not supported and is known to cause issues like that.

Yeah...I am lol. But its just a shortcut, Sins isn't available over Steam. That's really odd that its causing that problem. Well, I'm re-installing the game right now. I'll see if using the normal button works.

The community overlay stuff that Steam sticks into any games you run through it cause the issues.
