Systats icons always shows the Question (?) Icon

ObjectDock Docklet Issue

I have installed ObjectDock Plus 1.9 in my vista machine. Everything goes just right but Systat Docklet icons always show the (?) questioin icon.

I know that intitally when no configuration is loaded that icon should be shown... but even after loading a valid config file the icons or png files configured are being shown but the (?) icon still shows in the background... behind the configured icon or graphs provided by an specific config file. I have found no way to tell ObjectDock not to load that icon in the first place.. and although the Systat docklet is working the icon is shown with an ugly (?) image behind.

I have downloaded several config files from wincustomize.com and all of them show the same behaviour.

What should I do to get rid of that ugly (?) icon?

Shame on you! Stardock support.... I have acquired both ObjectDock & ObjectDesktop software and there is no response from you.

I thought Stardock support was 1st class... but I am begining to believe it is just crap!

Sorry for the mishap. We do our very best to monitor the forums but the majority of the official support is through our online support system.

Systats is not an official part of Stardock support but we do try to help out as much as we can. Please start a ticket with us on this matter. We will need to know your software version number for both Systats and Object Dock Plus. Also are you running 32bit or 64bit ?

Please also reference this thread when you email us at support@stardock.com.

First thing I always tell people with Systats is to put the docklets on one at a time and try them out. Then remove it and go on  to the next one. Once you are sure you have them all working start adding multiple ones to the docklet. If you try this out and find one or two problematic ones let me know so I can try it out as well.

Wow .. I must have missed this post, bummer.  If you would like please post me the name of the systats docklet you are trying to use and I will take a look at what is going on with it. Some of the docklets are for older versions of OD or Systats but with a few minor adjustments typically work well.

You need to replace the DEFAULT.png in the root of the objectdock directory with something 100% transparent. For some reason, Sysstats uses the ? image under Vista when it doesn't under XP. I don't know if this is because ObjectDock uses a different image under either OS, since I only use Vista now.

Yep, changing the Default.png solves the problem (well... sort of) since from then on, all new Docklets which does not configure an icon automatically will be shown as an empty space in the dock (sort of separator) the image is found at (by default):

C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\default.png

Simply backup that image and overwrite it with a 100% transparent one.
