WB 6 messing up my wireless internet

After 2 days of digging for the culprit for a strange problem, I finally found it. I recently purchased WB and all was well til the first time I tried to repair my wireless internet connection. After a series of unusual lag spikes playing world of warcraft, I naturally tried repairing the connection which failed at the step "connecting to the wireless network". However, the connection does continue to connect normally. This problem is easily fixed by applying the default winxp theme. Strange eh? Any solution? Heres my info BTW.

Strange indeed! There should be no physical connection between a desktop theme and wireless networking...

Something else is afoot! Are you using a program to control your wireless network, or default Windows settings?

jsr0213 the support folks are still out for the Holidays, won't be back to after the 1st. Was it just WB that you purchased? The reason I ask is there is nothing in WB's that should be messing with your internet.

What kind of connection to you have, dialup, cable or DSL? I have DSL through my phone provider with no problems, have one computer connected through ethernet and the others in the house are wireless. Could something be interferring with the wireless connection/signal?

To clarify, I found the reason my latency was so high which was a bad phone wire to my DSL modem. But, whenever a skin is applied I cannot repair my connection. It fails at step "Connecting to the wireless network", but the network DOES reconnect. Thats why its so off. It says it cant connect but does. And this problem goes away without a skin applied...

Edit: I only purchased WB6. The only other stardock program installed is object dock.

Lets go back to Fuzzy's question, are you using a program to control you wireless network?

Your set up sound very similar to mind. I have Quest phone service with an Actiontec DSL model and not having those problems.

There was utility installed to manage networks installed from broadcom, which I uninstalled. Windows should now only be using wireless zero config. The problem still exists however.
