Need Help with "Death of the Knox" mission

Hey , i am new to this site but have been playing Gal Civ 2 since it came out (its a great game).

I have been playing the new campagain in Dark Avatar and up until now i have been getting through the missions fine (the last one took forever but i did it)

I am stuck on the mission named ""The Death of the Knox" which is simple enough, you get that big ship you start with to sector (1,3). I did that. I press the turn button and expect Victory to come up but nothing does, i press turn again, nothing happens...

I am right inside sector 1,3 with my ship, i know i am in the right sector becuase there is a moarle resource next to me which was said in my debrief.

I really want to find out what happens in the war and the Dread Lords, please help me.

(Its the right ship BTW)

I've never played any of the single player missions because the Skirmish mode is where it's truly at imo.

sorry I can't be of any assistance :p

Hi!
When I've been playing the campaign, that mission ended whne one of my survey ships accidently entered that sector. Perhaps game needs a new (not a starting) ship in that sector? So I suggest you to send there more ships, and make them go all across the lower edge of the galaxy. BTW did you meet with the Korx? That could also be one of conditions to end the game.

What do you mean, meat with the korx?

I have traded some tech with them and gave them money if thats what you mean.

There was a wormhole to the left of the morale resource. When I ended a turn immediately adjacent to that wormhole, the mission ended.

Now if I could work up the energy to get past the next mission. I hate Huge maps (and really, really hate mandatory huge maps). There's no question of winning at this point, but the mop up takes forever.

As for meeting with the Korx, there is a planet in the center of the map, basically on a direct line from the starting point to the wormhole. When I passed within sensor range of that planet, a window popped up reiterating that the Korx were dying but that I was the hope of the people... That's probably what the above poster meant.

I know I finished that mission very fast. A couple fast constructors to extend your range is all you need. Good luck

Thats what i have done :(

To bad the wormholes apper randomly each game so it wont be in the same place for me.

Maybe its a bug or something because i dont think they put the ending game sector in the right place.

Are the wormholes random on that mission? It seemed rather amazingly coincidental if it was, and I think the end of mission statement even mentioned going through the wormhole. Anyway, I stopped on the left side of the wormhole if that matters. If I were you, I'd try ending tuns at different positions, but even if you have to restart, the whole mission took something like 15 minutes to complete.

Good luck.
